THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., Mar. 13,1974 By CAROL RUMFELT I Corinthians 13:7 “Charity (love) beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him. and always stand your ground in defending him!. Today, when everybody is talking about love, I thiink that this verse should be foremost in everyone’s mind. This verse describes to me the life and character of Jesus Christ. If we could only remember that Jesus really does love us this much, we should have no trouble in transferring this same love to everyone we meet. It always seems easier to discuss a person’s faults. If we could only think of this verse and be loyal to, believe in. expect the best of, and defend the people we love, we would certainly have much more to talk about! I think this verse also pertains to our love toward Jesus Christ. Our love for Him should always be active. We should constantly be working in these same ways for the one we love. Prayer: Dear Father, help each of us to perfect this Jpve in the people we meet each day and to remember that this is the way in which you love us. Help us to labor willingly and eagerly to obtain a true love in our world and above all to keep our love for Thee always active and alive. In your Name we pray, Amen. Fire run made Thursday afternoon Syracuse firemen responded to a grass fire of unknown origin at 2 p.m. Thursday on the SyracuseW’ebster road south of Wawasee high school. The fire was reported by township trustee Joe Shew mon. No damage was reported in the call. LAKELAND LOCAL House guests of L. E. Craig at Syracuse from Friday until Sunday were his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harry E. Craig, son Louis and daughter Cindy, all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Tina Maria Angela Emerine of I’uerto Rico and Bowling Green college.
