Pierceton, Nappanee, West Noble, Wakarusa. Middlebury, and Central Noble will compete. Wawasee high school athletic director Terry Frank and Syracuse junior high principal Charles Haffner are directing the tourney which they hope will become an annual affair. Wrestling has become a popular junior high sport as several schools began programs this year. The Lakeland corporations schools have had a program for several years and have been very successful. Our three junior highs have not lost a wrestling meet to a school outside the corporation this year. First round matches will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the finals scheduled to start at approximately 2:30 p.m. Ribbons will be awarded by the Wawasee Giris Sports club to the first four finishers in each weight class. All matches are divided into seventh and eighth grade sections. No team scores are kept as the emphasis is on individual performance.
