ATHLETIC DIRECTOR DARRELL BOLING — Asked what his reaction was to the tourney being held in Warsaw this year athletic director Darrell Boling made the following comments. “The gym has been here a number of years now and all the teams seem to play well on it so the home court advantage should not be so great a factor. It should be a good tourney." Basketball 1974 As the 1974 sectional tournament draws nearer we once again begin to wonder what Indiana would be like without basketball, truly Hoosier Hysteria is here to stay. We are dedicating this special sectional issue to the players, coaches, managers, trainers, cheerleaders, | teachers, students and parents of the high schools who will be participating in the 64th sectional tournament in Warsaw — Akron. Mentone, Rochester. Triton. Warsaw and Wawasee. This is our fifth sectional supplement and we are proud of it just as we are proud of the schools who participate. Without the cooperation qf all the schools and the merchants \nd business people of the area towns it would be impossible to print such a section. The supplement has been included in The Mail-Journal and The AkronMentone News and has been given to the high school students of the participating schools. Let us have your comments on this supplement. Please address your letters to The Akron-Mentone News at box 277 Akron, Ind. 46910 or box 427 Mentone, Ind. 46539 or to The Mail-Journal at box 188 Milford, Ind. 46542 or box 8 Syracuse. Ind. 46567.

\ The sectional tournament has been moved back to the Warsaw Community high school for 1974. The 1973 tournament was played at Triton high school in Bourbon. The host school. Warsaw, is a consolidation of the Warsaw. Leesburg. Atwood. Claypool and Silver Lake school systems. It is the largest school in the tourney as far as enrollment is concerned. A number of tourney fans believe that the Indiana High School Athletic Association will continue to alternate the tournament site between Warsaw and Triton as long as both schools continue to apply for the tournament. Only the IHSAA can answer this question. The Triton gym seats 3.474 persons while the Warsaw gym seats 3.409. Schools participating in the Warsaw sectional are as follows: Akron Flyers Mentone Bulldogs Rochester Zebras Triton Trojans Warsaw Tigers Svfy Wawasee Warriors

■MIBB ' 'wß I WR PRINCIPAL CLAYTON SMITH — Asked what his reaction was to the tourney being held in Warsaw this year principal Clayton Smith gave the following remarks, “We are on a rotation basis with Triton. I believe this is the present plan. Os course, we are looking forward to it, it poses to be an exciting tourney. It was proposed last year that it start on Wednesday instead of Thursday. This will allow the teams more time to rest between play. Also, this year is the first time we will have reserved seating."
