Annual Christmas program Sunday at Milford school

The Milford junior high school will present its annual Christmas Program to the public on December 9 at 2:30 p.m. m m e Milford junior high gymnasium. Grades five through eight will make up the program. Featured in the program will be the fifth grade choir singing “Silver Bells” by Livingston and Evans, “No Golden Carriage, “No Bright Toy” by Martin Gilbert, “Frosty The Snowman” by Nelson and Rollins. The orchestra will play “Christmas Overture” by Edward Anderson, “Adeste Fideles” by J. Reading and “Winter Wonderland” arranged by Gorden. The sixth grade choir will be singing “Angels We Have Heard On High” arranged, “The Babe Os Bethlehem” by William Walker, and an arrangement of

Selections edited by Paul Yoder will include “Old St. Nick” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” The seventh and eighth grade choir’s selections will include “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” a negro spiritual, arranged by George Brandon, “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin and “Calypso Noel” by George Krunnfusz. The seventh and, eighth grade band’s selections are “Ding, Dong! Merrily On High,” a French folk song, arranged by Wayne Stevens, “Jingle Bells Ole’” by J. with the students participating in the presentation of the Christmas selections of “And God Said” released on the Epic record label. Selections will include “This Is the Story Os The Lord,” “Mary, Blessed Mary,” “Now Sleep My Child,” “Child, Child, Heaven’s Child” and others. The program will conclude with the singing of “Silent Night, Holy Night!” Directors are Donna Pollen, Jim DeLay and Jim White Kitten Blue Birds hold meeting The Kitten Blue Bird Girls at Syracuse met Thursday night after school at the scout cabin. The girls will meet every second and fourth Thursday of each month. The next meeting is on December 13. Refreshments will be served by Amy Scholer and Monica Thornburg. Roll call will be recorded by Sara Appenzeller.

Cindy Rapp wins 4-H savings bond By KEITH A. CARRINGTON Cindy Rapp, ninth year 4-H’er from the Milford Jr. Merry Maidens and Sr. Happy Bachelors 4-H clubs, received a $25 savings bond for her record in the 4-H achievement record program. Cindy’s record was one of 34 achievement records submitted by Kosciusko county 4H’ers. These 4-H’ers all received certificates and those in the junior division were: Debi Blackburn, Denise Cooper, Alicia Dickerhoff, Jon Goon, Mitch Goon, Cathy Harris, Lisa Harris, Donald Hathaway, Dannie Johnson, Shasta Johnson, Andy Knoop, Norman Knoop, Joy Lucht, Lynda Otani, Brian Roberts, Duane Rogers, Shari Rogers, Robin Secrist, Judy Shaffer, Steve Sponseller. In the senior divisions, nine records received a certificate from the state 4-H office. No injuries in Friday collision County officers investigated a two-vehicle accident Friday night at the intersection of Old State Road 13-A and Tiny Tim drive where damage was estimated at $1,750.
