THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., Npv. 7, 1973 Thanksgiving services are planned The Syracuse Ministerial association will be having a Unity Thanksgiving service on Thanksgiving eve, November 21. at the Church of the Brethren, 215 West Main. Time of the service has been set at 7:30 p.m. There will be special music and participation by both clergymen and laymen. The community is invited and urged to join in this service. Churches taking part will be Church of the Brethren, Rev. Jack Farrell; Calvary United Methodist, Rev. Ross Cook; Grace Lutheran church, Rev. David Mueller; All Saints Episcopal, Rev. David Hyndman. Pastor Woodbum’s morning message was taken from Mathew 4:12-25 and the evening message from I Peter 1:8-12. Helping Hands meet Tuesday The Helping Hands met Tuesday evening in • the fellowship hall. Making pajamas and embroidering pillow cases for a children’s home for Christmas was the project for the evening. Mrs. John Plank conducted the business meeting. Mrs. Elmer Rapp’s devotional thoughts were “The Beauty of Fall” and she read Psalms 96. She also read a poem “I live for those who love me” and led in prayer.
