Be brave, Ronnie! It will hurt a little, but it’s worth it. No matter how old we are, life requires courage. And we show our greatest courage when we are terribly afraid but fight on through the fear. Moral courage is sometimes much harder than the physical kind, but whenever we stand up for what our God-given conscience tells us is right, regardless of sneering opposition, we win a shin-

ing victory . . . and we keep our self-respect. It is never too late to start living courageously. If you are facing a life situation that is draining your courage, why not pray about it in church tomorrow? The Christian Gospels assure us, without a shadow of a doubt, that strength will be given us whenever we need it and as much as we need. Remember that life is not a lonely battle. God is always with you.

THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., Oct. 31,1973 REV. RALPH DAVIDSON Prophetic services set at Syracuse Evangelist Ralph M. Davidson of Coffeyville, Kans., will conduct a series of prophetic services at Wawasee Heights Baptist church located across from Wawasee high school at Syracuse beginning Sunday, Nov. 4, and continuing nightly, except Saturday, through Sunday, Nov. 11. He comes to the Baptist church highly recommended by leading pastors and by internationally known Christian publications. For over 20 years he has traveled widely in the United States. Before entering Christian work, Davidson managed several five and ten stores in Chicago and area. A prayer room in the heart of Chicago’s Loop was the start of his extensive ministry as a Christian businessman. He taught personal evangelism in many areas and was a member of the Christian Business Men’s committee. Noted for the simplicity of his messages and clear cut presentations, he is dated far in advance. Rev. Davidson has had experiences in the pulpit, radio, camps and youth meetings, plus writing of two gospel tracts, one on salvation and the other on assurance. Pastor Cooper of the Syracuse church extends a welcome to everyone for the services which start at 7 p.m. each evening except Saturday The speaker will also be on hand to preach at both regular Sunday services with the morning service starting with Sunday school at 9:30. Bazaar and supperette are planned A bazaar and supperette is being held on Friday evening, Nov. 9, from 4:30 to 7:30 at the Solomon’s Creek church north of Syracuse. MRS. DON MAY Revival set at Church of God The Syracuse Church of God has announced a revival meeting to begin Sunday, Nov. 4, and continuing through November 11. Services will start at 7:30 each evening. Mrs. Don (Nan) May of Hillsdale, Mich., will lead the devotional service. An excellent soloist, instrumentalist, and song leader, Mrs. May will also have charge of a children’s story time each evening. These stories are intriguing not only to the children but also to the grown-ups. The pastor of the church, Rev. Walter C. Burcham, will be bringing the gospel messages using the theme “Up the Calvary Road.” The public is invited to attend and urged to be present Sunday evening so as to not miss a single service. The church is located at 113 East Washington street in Syracuse.
