Tailors can sew on buttons. My tough old sergeant could sew on buttons. But not me! I never got around to it. I’m going to church anyway. Long time ago I realized that it may take a bit of effort, and some determination, and quite a lot of experience to become a regular church-goer. But life is full of real crises that demand faith and courage and a Source of guidance. There isn’t much comfort in discovering that others can overcome such crises—while you never got around to it. So any Sunday, in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Troy . . . you’ll be seeing me in church. (I’m the stocky fellow, with the red hair—and the button missing from his shirt!)
