Opportunity to prove 1974 wheat yields Scott Horn, chairman of the Kosciusko County Agricultural Stablization and Conservation Service Committee reports that producers have the opportunity to prove their 1974 wheat yields. The agriculture and consumer protection act of 1973 provides that farm proven wheat yields be based on the same five year base period used in determining county projected yields. Yields established on records in the county ASCS office will stand otherwise. Details of the procedure require producers to have produced wheat on the farm in each of the five years — 1968, 1969,1970,1971 and 1972. Reliable proof of production — such as scale tickets, warehouse receipts etc. would need accompany the application with each crop year clearly identified. During the first week of training, he underwent a rigorous physical training program and received instruction in the theory of parachuting. County savings bond sales are up in July Joe Ettinger, chairman of the Kosciusko county US Savings Bonds committee has received a report revealing that the county’s savings bonds sales for July were $86,695 compared with $56,388 for the corresponding period of last year. Indiana sales for. July were $23,816,128 and $13,817,755 for a like period of. 1972 —a gain of 72.4 per cent. Sixty-two of Indiana’s ninety-two counties reported sales gains for the month when compared with sales of July, 1972. Accumulative sales for 1973 totaled 66 per cent of the yearly quota of $180,100,000 for the state of Indiana.
