William A. Orr is president of the Kosciusko county fair association. Serving with him are Donald Snyder, Henry Butler and Vena Myerly. Snyder is vice president, Butler is secretary and general manager and Myerly is treasurer. Members of the board of directors are Emra Stookey, Helen Albert, Robert Scott, Dale Sponseller, William A. GOAT SOLD — Four Leesburg business people got together to purchase the goat shown above at last year’s 4-H auction. Proceeds from the purchase of the goat went toward the 4-H building program. The goat went for 1220 and was purchased by Larry and Shirley Polk, left, and Robert and Ava Barth, right. The Polks own Polk Implement Company and the Barths own the Leesburg Lumber Company.
Sheep exhibit is August 8 The Kosciusko county sheep improvement association will be the sponsor of the open sheep exhibit at the Kosciusko county fair this year. Sheep will be shown on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. The show is open to any resident of the state. Only registered animals may be exhibited and they must meet state health requirements. Sheep may be taken to the fairgrounds anytime after 7 a.m. on Wednesday. They will be
released after the show. Classes to be shown are ram, one year old and under two; ram lamb; pair ram lambs; champion and reserve ram; ewe, one year old and under two; ewe lamb; pair ewe lambs; pair yearling ewes; champion and reserve ewe; young flock; two yearling ewes; two ewe lambs and a yearling ram or ram lamb; get of sire, four head yearlings or lambs, any sex, owned and bred by the exhibitor. Rudy Ross is again serving as superintendent of the sheep department. Calvin Dodson is secretary. They are «being assisted by Robert Norris, Roy Merkle, Wilbur Latimer, Voyle Osborn, Ivan Zimpleman and James Thomas.
