Nine persons arrested at Milford recently A total of nine persons were arrested in Milford over the past two weeks. John E. Slone, 24, 508 N. Lake, Warsaw, paid fines of $52 for driving while suspended, $52 for driving under the influence and his license was suspended for two years, $52 for fleeing a police

officer and $49 for public intoxication when he appeared in jp Milo Clase’s court at Warsaw. Also arrested were: Charles E. Culp, 29, r 1 Hamlet, for making an improper start from a parked position; Cheryl A. Mason, 24, Fairmont, for disregarding an automatic signal; George E. Bradley, 27, r 5 Plymouth, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was fined $49 on each charge. Chester W. Bond, 26, r 1 box 185 Syracuse, for public intoxication. Steve Finton to turn in NIPSCo hardhat

A utility career of more than 40 years will come to an end today (Wednesday) when Steve D. Finton retires from Northern Indiana Public Service Company. Finton joined NIPSCo in 1930 as a lineman. In 1934 he was made a serviceman, and a year later named a troubleshooter. In 1938 he was appointed lineman and promoted to working foreman in 1948. In 1954 he was advanced to his present position of electric crew supervisor. Steve and his ; wife, Wava, have one son, captain Patrick D. Finton, U.S.M.C., and twp grandchildren. The Fintons attend Calvary United Methodist church in Syracuse. Leesburg family injured Ari Leesburg family was treated and released from Murpby Medical Center Saturday after the car they were in was struck in the side by another auto. Russell A. STEVE D. FINTON Angela, 2, received treatment for a scalp cut and bruises. Driver of the second car, Alice Brown, 51, r 4 Warsaw, received bruises but refusied treatment. According to investigating officer, state trooper Melvin Keplinger, the Brown car was northbound on CR 200W and pullpd dnto US 30 and struck the McAfoose car' which was traveling west on US 30. • Damage was given at $2,000 to the McAfoose car and SI,OOO to the Brown auto.
