THE MAIL-JOURNAL Wed., June 20,1973 ASSISTANT PASTOR — Kent Biller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Biller of r 2 Milford, has been appointed as assistant pastor at the Greenwood United Methodist church. This past year, in addition to attending Indiana Central college from which he graduated magna cum laude on May 20. Kent worked as night director of activities at a Presbyterian retirement home in Greenwood. He and his wife, the former Diane Williamson of Larwill, moved into the parsonage this past week end. Among his duties will be responsibilities for the youth work and Christian education of the church. Diane, a registered nurse, will continue her education towards a BS degree at Indiana Central. ‘One way with Jesus’ ÜBS theme Registration for Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church vacation Bible school will be held Sunday, June 24. at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. Classes will be conducted for children from kindergarten age through sixth grade from June 2429. The 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. classes will have craft opportunities along with Bible study. The theme for the year’s program is “One Way with Jesus.” Director of the summer school will be Mrs. Paul Rush. Other teachers will be Mrs. James Alford, kindergarten; Mrs. James Hughes, grades one and two; Miss Karen Allen, grades three and four; and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Clouse, grades five and six. Crafts will be under the direction of Mrs. Phil Keim, Mrs. O. A. Lambert, Alan Jones and Jennifer Longenecker. Miss Longenecker will also be in charge of the music and opening exercises, assisted by Rev. Marvin Jones. Junior high school youth will assist with the various classes and activities. Mrs. Marvin Jones will be in charge of the refreshment period. Those who wish to contribute for the refreshments may contact Mrs. Jones at home in the evenings. Spanish Apostolate in Goshen The first steps towards working with the Spanish speaking people in the area is being initiated here in the Goshen area, it has been announced by Rev. James Cis, pastor of Saint John’s Catholic church, with the arrival of Brother John Campbell C.S.C. (Congregation-Brothers of Holy Cross) who will reside at Saint John’s rectory for the next seven weeks. The Goshen Spanish Apostolate is a part of the Spanish Apostolate of the diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Brother Campbell, a native of Laredo, Texas, speaks and writes Spanish. He is a graduate of Saint Edward university, Austin, Tex., and holds a BA degree in journalism and Spanish. Brother Campbell will be visiting the Spanish speaking people in the Goshen area, assisting them in whatever way he can and will be available at Saint John’s rectory, 114 W. Monroe street.
