Area doctors retain AAFP memberships KANSAS CITY — William L. Meyers, M.D., of Syracuse and Floyd L. Rheinheimer, M.D., of Milford have completed continuing education requirements to retain active membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians, the national association of family doctors. The requirements call for members to complete a minimum of 150 hours of accredited continuing medical study every three years. Members become eligible for reelection at the end of the third year following their election to membership. The academy, the country’s second largest medical association, is the only natural medical group that requires members to keep up with medical progress through continuing education. The academy, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., was instrumental in the establishment of a new
