Mentone man steals truck Edward L. Rice, 34, r 1 Mentone, was booked Friday at 10:55 p.m. at the county jail on a charge of stealing a van-type truck owned by Wade Morrison of Milford. He was released later on SI,OOO bond. Morrison reported the theft of his 1969 Chevrolet Sportsman van to Milford town marshall Don Drake. He said the truck was parked in a downtown alley when it came up missing. County sheriff’s department was notified by Elkhart authorities that they had discovered the van in their county. Kosciusko deputy sheriff Marlin Rose returned Rice to the county jail.
