THE MAtL-JOURNAL Wed., May 2,1973 KENNETH BEER Kenneth Beer to - seek doctorate degree at Muncie Kenneth Beer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Beer, r 2 Milford, will seek a doctorate in education at Ball State university, Muncie, it was learned this week. He is one of ten selected from among 80 to be awarded a full fellowship at Ball State to work on his doctorate over the next two years. Ken is a Milford high school graduate with the class of 1964. He is married to the former Lynne Aeschliman of Bluffton and they have a son, Jeremy. The degree Mr. Beer will be working toward is educational administration, teacher education and curriculum and instruction. Ball State has a nationally known program on educational administration and is selective in granting admission as well as granting fellowships of the type Mr. Beer received. Beer received his bachelor of science degree at Indiana university and his master’s degree from Arizona State university. The past two years he ” taught at Danville high school and has been social studies department chairman and supervisor of student teachers. Before that he taught at Wawasee high school and at Westwood high school in Mesa,'Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Beer will move from Danville to Muncie about June 1. ATTEND ALUMNI BANQUET Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Pfingst of Syracuse spent the week end in Kendallville where they attended the South Milford high school alumni banquet Saturday evening. Special honors went to the class of 1923 on its 50th anniversary celebration. 'Hello and Goodbye' at Milford church The drama “Hello and Goodbye” will be presented as the sermonic part of the May 6 service at the Milford United Methodist church. The play will be given by the Bashor Home Auxiliary drama group. They have been presenting the play in a number of churches in the northern Indiana area. “Hello and Goodbye” is a play on family relationship. It is stimulating and will provide a very significant beginning to the observance of Christian family week. The week closes with Mother’s Day on May 13. The Bashor Home Auxiliary drama group is composed of Mrs. Alden Bohn and Mrs. Robert Rogers of Elkhart, Mrs. Homer Lynch and Mrs. Roy Mangus of Kimmell and Mrs. Ralph Karstedt of Milford. Nazarene church to have revival May 7 thru 13 The Syracuse Church of the Nazarene located at the comer of Benton and Harrison streets in Syracuse is holding revival services May 7-13 with Herbert J. Buwalda, Sr., serving as evangelist. * Buwalda is a former successful pastor who delivers Bible centered messages. He is an approved evangelist and a graduate of Taylor university. His ministry has extended through the United States, Canada and the Orient. Special music will be presented by Rev. and Mrs. Ellis Teasdale Meetings will begin at 7:30 each evening.
