Scott Bread, one of the leaders in the Oklahoma Indian Mission conference, will be the speaker at the Milford United Methodist church this Thursday evening. A carry-in dinner will be served at 6:30 preceding the evening’s program. The women of the Milford churchehave contributed to the mission recently to help with the work there. It is located at Stillwell, Okla. The public is invited to attend the meeting according to an announcement from Mrs. Gene Lew, mission chairman for the church. Fellowship class meets in Nine home The Fellowship class of the Syracuse Church of God met last week in the Donald Nine home at Syracuse with Mr. Nine, president, presiding. Mrs. Victor Yeager led devotions using James, chapter 2. Rev. Walter C. Burcham led in prayer. Response to roll call was w>ith a scripture verse. / Various reports were heard and a special prayer for the sick given. Money was voted out of the treasury for the building fund. Guests at the meeting were from the Akron area. The next meeting will be in the Yeager home. ‘What in this world is God doing? 9 “What in This World is God Doing?” is the theme for this year’s annual missionary conference at Wawasee Heights Baptist church, Syracuse. Featured cm Sunday, April 29, will be Rev. James Dersham, executive director of fellowship of Baptist for home missions, and Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Buker, appointees to Spain. Rev. Dick Matthews, veteran missionary toßrazil, will present his work at the Wednesday night service along with Joyce Smith, appointee to Alaska. On Saturday, May 5, at 6 p.m. a banquet “Tastes of the Testaments” will be held plus hearing testamonies from missionaries. The youth group will present a play entitled, “By Life or By Death”. The conference will culminate on Sunday, May 6, with Rev. Dwight Patterson leading the faith program for 1973. The Syracuse church regularly sends support to 16 missionaries and 16 other Baptist organizations with an offering of over $15,000 annually. Services are at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. and a nursery is available The public is cordially invited to attend.
