Nominated to hall of fame Rod Weingart, son of Dale and Barbara Weingart of Gary, has been nominated by the Purdue university, Calumet campus, college sports director, to the 1973 Outstanding College Athletes Hall of Fame. Rod is the grandson of Mrs. Ernest Bushong and Mrs. Karl Weingart, both of Syracuse. He was the only one out of a select group of athletes chosen by his college to receive this national honor and was awarded an official award certificate suitable for framing. County savings bond sales up Joe Ettinger, chairman of the Kosciusko county U.S. Savings Bonds-committee has received a report revealing that the county’s savings bonds sales for February were $64,520 compared with of current revenues of the school corporation to be derived from the general fund tax levy made in the year 1972 and collectible, in the year 1973 to pay the principal of and interest of said warrants at maturity. Typewritten and executed warrants and a transcript of the legal proceedings wilt be furnished to the successful bidder at the expense of the school corporation. Report vandalism to parked auto Syracuse police continue investigation into a vandalism report received at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Pinecrest Trailer Park near Syracuse.
