Wed., Mar. 7,1973 THE MAIL-JOURNAL igi REV. FRED LANDOLT Revival crusade at Church of God Rev. Fred J. Landolt will be the speaker for the week of evangelistic meetings to be held at the Syracuse Church of God beginning on March 11 and concluding March 18. Pastor of the Mount Carroll Church of God in Mount Carroll, Hl., he is a native of Missouri and entered the ministry in 1956. He pastored in his home conference until being called to Ohio where he served for 11 years. Rev. Landolt attended the Bible Baptist college in Springfield, Mo., and has taken refresher courses at Winebrenner Theological seminary in Findlay, Ohio. During his ministry, "he has been active in evangelism and conducted meetings in seven states. He has visited the Holy Land with the Ford Philpot team and the Churches of God mission field in Haiti. The pastor of the Syracuse Church of God, Rev. Walter C. Burcham, has issued a warm invitation to all who possibly can, to come and share in this great crusade. Sunday evening services are at 7 p.m. and week nights at 7:30 o’clock. Trinity circle meets in Vanderford home The Lake Wawasee home of Mrs. Jack Vanderford was the meeting place of the Trinity circle of Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church for the March meeting. There were eight members in attendance. Mrs. George Kleopfer, cochairman, conducted the business meeting in the absence of chairman Mrs. Vern Brinkman. Mrs. Georgia Buster presented the program taking members back to 1921 with an interesting story entitled. “Last of the Quiet Nights.” “Human Relations” was the topic used for an article read by Mrs. Kleopfer. Refreshments were served at tables decorated in the Saint Patrick’s Day theme. Mrs. Buster will entertain for the April 5 meeting with Mrs. Kleopfer giving devotions. Attendance program underway now at Mount Tabor church The church school superintendent of the Mount Tabor church, Lowell Anglin, has announced the new plans for the church school attendance program for the coming spring months at the Mount Tabor Church of God, six miles south of Nappanee. Mr. Anglin, who is in his second year as the church school superintendent, has told of plans for every class to show a good gain in their attendance during the next several months. He states, “This program of the Mount Tabor church school is people-centered. It is to involve./ all the members of the Sunday school in every age level class, from the nursery through the several adult classes. It will be one in which the Sunday school will reach many new families for Christ and the church. It is a program that will mean that every family and each member is important, not for just numbers sake, but for persons-sake. People are important to the church for who they are and what they can be.” In the Mount Tabor church school there are classes for every member of the family. The church school has shown a good growth this year with many new families becoming a part of the Mount Tabor church school. One of the classes showing much promise is the young adult class, composed of those young adults out of high school, college students and recently married adults. Everyone is invited to Mount Tabor this Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. as the Mount Tabor church goes on the March during the month of March for service to your family,
