JPafter Kiser heads county dairy association Walter Kiser of North Manchester was re-elected president of the Kosciusko county dairy association at its annual meeting, February 27. Also re-elected were Robert Osborn of-Pierceton as vice {resident, Mrs. Myron Metzger of Claypool, secretary, and Willard Schieler of Milford, treasurer. Dan Beer of Milford was elected to a four year term as director. Hold over directors for the association include Loren Cumberland representing the southwest quarter of the county, Jesse Beer, northwest and Myron Metzger, southeast. The 4-H and FFA dairy judging teams from Whitko and Wawasee were introduced by their coaches, Bill McVey and Dennis Mikesell. 4-H club dairy awards were presented by Kenneth Dickey of Silver Lake, assisted by John Oatney, Robert Rank and Keith Carrington. Curt Middleton of Plymouth, extension dairy agent and Charles Smoker, county D.H.I.A. supervisor, presented the dairy herd improvement awards from the Indiana Dairy Association. Deer killed on Thursday mishap Damage was set at S4O to an auto operated by Herman Rollins, 50, r 3 Syracuse, as his northbound vehicle struck a deer which ran onto Indiana 15 in front of him at 7:15 p.m. Thursday. The deer was killed. Deputy sheriff Marlin Rose investigated the mishap. Primary Moms plan Saint Pats' party March 10 The Syracuse Primary Mothers met recently in the home of Mrs. James Adams. There were 15 members present to discuss fund raising projects for the year. They are going to sell stationery which is expected to arrive soon. The club will hold a Saint Patrick’s day party on March 10 at the home of Mrs. Jack Crum. The husbands are invited to the carry-in dinner. The party will feature nostalgic memories from the 1950’s with dress and entertainment to be in that period. On April 21 the club will sponsor an Easter egg hunt for their own children.
