Hunsbergers called for Tefe to return to their home the dog failed to come. After a search the family was forced to leave for their Goshen home without the dog. The classified was placed last week with hopes someone had found Tefe. Last Thursday when a Northern Indiana Public Service Company crew was checking on wires which had been stolen they found a large black dog with its back foot caught in a fence. The fence is located in the middle of a field on the Camp Mack farm. NIPSCo has an access road running through the farm. The dog, which was later identified as Tefe, was taken from the fence and later to the animal clinic in Milford. Needless to say that NIPSCo crew has been credited with saving Tefe’s life. Rescuing the animal were Darrel Grisamer, Larry Claybaugh and Howard Markley. After being caught on the fence for some six days Tefe was near starvation. The dog has lost the back leg that was caught in the fence but is currently responding to treatment with expectations to being home for Christmas. ALLOW SUFFICIENT INTERVAL BETWEEN CARS Allow a sufficient interval between cars in case you need to make an emergency stop on a slippery road, warns the Chicago Motor Club-AAA. You never know when you may have to make an emergency stop.

Milford Lions hear Riverwood Ranch story Milford Lions Monday night heard the story of the Riverwood Ranch for boys, located just off road 30 west of Warsaw. Mrs. Glen Morehead of Warsaw, a former Milford resident and director of the year-old Riverwood Ranch, showed the Lions some color slides of the ranch, then fielded questions in a question-and-answer session. She said the ranch now has eight boys from ages 10 to 17 years, and that the ranch operates with a house father and mother on a current annual budget of $34,000. Usually, she said, boys are placed at the ranch by the courts. Mrs. Morehead was accompanied by her husband. She was introduced by Lion Bill Little. Meet Goal The Milford Lions met their SI,OOO goal toward the purchase of the $750,000 35 MEV linear accelerator at the PurdueIndiana university medical school at Indianapolis, with the recent payment of a $544.80 check to cabinet secretary Raymond Pinkerton. The club voted to dispense with the first meeting in January 1973 — which would be January 1 — and only hold one meeting in January, that being on Monday, Jan. 15. The club also voted to make its second meeting in March a ladies night at the Cardinal Learning Center in Warsaw.
