Edward (Moose) Krause, second from right, North Central Indiana chairman reported >59,131 has been received in comparison with >57,706 of one year ago from the four counties in the region. Mr. Krause said that although this is the first year for a regional drive in Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall and Saint Joseph counties, the receipts are running >1,425 ahead of this time last year. Contributions are used to attain the goals of the Tuberculoses and Respiratory Disease Association. Our Lady of Guadalupe church to have feast

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the people of the Catholic church in Milford, which is named in her honor, will celebrate a special Mass at 6 p.m. Father Eugene Zimmerman (pastor) and Father Robert Baker C.S.C. Frank Perales and Alex Morris. former presidents of the U.M.A. club in Milford, will be given special recognition at the dinner for their service to the Mexican Americans in the area and to the church. Jose De Luna, will preside at the presentations. All who attend the dinner are requested to bring in carry-in dish and table service for their family.

Cited following twocar collision Autos driven by Rosa K. Felkner, 37, r 1 Milford, and Patsy M. Westerman, 23, r 7 Warsaw, collided Wednesday, one mile north of Milford on old state road 15. The Felkner auto was damaged SBOO and the Westerman auto was damaged $250. Mrs. Westerman was cited following the collision for driving left of center. Accident on Main street Wednesday An accident occurred on Milford’s Main street at 3:12 p.m. last Wednesday when a car driven by Mrs. Marian W. Snyder, 76, Milford, hit a parked car owned by Joan Kay Felkner. Mrs. Snyder was traveling north on Main street when she apparently blacked out. Her car went into the south lane of traffic and struck Miss Felkner’s vehicle. The accident occurred in front of the Herbert Felkner home. Mrs. H. H. Sharp, also of Milford, was a passenger in the Snyder auto. Neither lady was injured. Milford town marshal Don Drake estimated SSOO damage to Mrs. Snyder’s 1968 Ford. The front bumper, grill, head light, right front fender and door were damaged. He listed S6OO to the Felkner auto with the complete front end being demolished.

Miles will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on December 19 at the Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church. FIVE YEARS AGO The Christmas tree lighting ceremony by the Syracuse Camp Fire Association will be at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the scout cabin. A 25th anniversary party for Mr. and Mrs. Douglas J. Yoder was given by their children Sunday at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Shirley Lusk at Daleville. Connolly has graduated from eight weeks of recruit training at San Diego, Calif. Captain Larry D. Nicolai has completed the army artillery officers career course and is assigned to Fort Gordon, Ga. arrested last week by town marshal Don Drake of Milford on a warrant from JP Milo Clase for assault and battery. Gonzales was booked at the Kosciusko county jail and later released on SSOO bond.
