Selected' Outstanding Young Men Os America
J. Brock Van Meter, Lynn Feller, and Charles Fred Clark, Jr., have been chosen for inclusion in the 1972 edition of Outstanding Young Men of America, according to the North Webster United Methodist church. Nominated by the organization earlier this year, the men were chosen for the annual awards volume in recognition of professional and community leadership, a spokesman said today. Sponsored by leading men’s civic and service organizations, Outstanding Young Men Os America honors men between the ages of 21 and 35 whose demonstrated excellence has marked them for future leadership in the nation. “These young men,” according to Doug Blankenship, chairman of the board of advisors, Outstanding Men Os America, “are

Though they are young, they have already made their imprint — in their neighborhoods and in the nation.” The 1972 edition, scheduled for publication in November, will include a special introductory message' by The Honorable James Hodgson, U. S. Secretary of Labor.

- jH / V tii 11 / \ I WKi j THEY GOT THEIR GOAT — Four Leesburg business people got together to purchase this goat at the 4-H livestock auction at the county fair last Thursday night, the proceeds to go toward the 4-H building program. The goat went for 3220, and was purchased by Larry and Shirley Polk (left) of Polk Implement Co., and Robert and Ava Barth of Leesburg Lumber Co.
Rev. V. O. Barnhart was honored for his 50 years in the ministry. Rev. Keckler received his first minister’s license from his father, president of the conference, and his father-in-law, vice president Ralph Clubertson of Columbia City. Mr. Clubertson was the first layman to be installed as president of a conference. Hit And Run Investigated Syracuse police were called to investigate a hit and run mishap at 7:52 p.m. Friday at Maxwelton Golf dub northeast of Syracuse. A 1972 Malibu belonging to Susan Lambright sustained $350 in damage to the right side in the mishap.

No Injuries In Friday Accident No injuries were sustained in a two-vehicle mishap in the 100 block of South Huntington street, Syracuse, at 3:20 p.m. Friday with damage estimated at $290. Authorities reported a 1969 Chevrolet operated by Kathleen Anderson, 619 South Front street, Syracuse, sustained $125 when she pulled from a parking spot at 112 South Huntington striking the right front fender of another northbound vehicle. The northbound auto, a 1971 Oldsmobile, operated by Carol Pluger of Lombard, 111., was damaged $165, in the accident which occurred about 100 feet north of Pearl street. Syracuse police investigated.
