$ facts about £ 4 OUR TOWN’ Milford, Ind. .X By JERI SEELY Here's another photo of the interurban derailment just south of town some 60 years ago. It was loaned to us by Paul Ruch of Our Town. We were a bit disappointed that no one called to tell us any additional details after last week's paper was published. The new Baseball Boosters organization of Our Town is operating a refreshment stand with sandwiches, candy bars and cold drinks being offered at a reasonable price. Why not go down to the Little League field and see some good ball games? Mrs. Dean Troup of Our Town is making plans to visit Munich, Germany, in July. Look for an announcement later this summer that the Barth Crop., located on road 15 south of Milford, plans to double its production facilities. Under the progressive leadership of Mike Umbaugh, the company manufactures one of the finest selfcontained travel trailers in the country. The company now has 60 employees. Have you seen the uniforms being worn this summer by the girls at the bank. They are in red, white and blue. Teresa Beer, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Beer of near Our Town, has been chosen to represent the Milford Lions club in the “Queen of Lakes” contest. Teresa is a 1972 graduate of Wawasee high school. Congratulations for the week go to the Ralston Purina Company. They are holding open house this week end at their new chow plant north of town. C. V. Lavon’s is a very nice guy — I have to say that because he was my boss for several years while I was in high school and he owned the local drive-in and yours truly thinks both Tiny and Lavon are special people. Other people think so too and we have proof. The other day Tiny had a flat tire on his truck and Mrs. Don (Hazel) Charlton called out to him, “it couldn't happen to a nicer fellow.” See what we mean! Bud and I and Raymond and Tena Pinkerton were off to Bremen last Thursday night

where Bud installed new officers and the club took in a number of new members. To our surprise one of the new members installed was Doug Miller, son of Mrs. Partha Miller of Our Town. We enjoyed a short chat with Doug and his wife, Dana, daughter of the Dan Levemiers, also of Our Town. Another new member to be initiated into the club in the near future is Basil Collins, a MHS graduate who operated the television and antenna service on Main street in Milford a few years back.
