Ryan Ray Cox Ryan Ray Cox. six month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cox, was found dead by his mother Saturday night in the bedroom of their home at r 6 Warsaw. ** The cause of death was credited to strangulation. He had slipped through a missing slat in his crib and became caught between the crib and the wall. Ryan was born November 28, 1971 to Michael and Deborah (£oplen> Cox. with the parents are one brother, Michael Kevin; one sister, Terri, both at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Cox of Warsaw; maternal grandparents, Mr. and "Mrs. Douglas Metz of r 2 Leesburg and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coplen of Warsaw. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Bill Garner officiating and interment was in the Oakwood cemetery *** Lowell H. Bechtel Lowell H. Bechtel. 40. 6256 Dell St., Orlando, Fla., and son of Mrs. Anna Hickman and brother of Mrs. Barbara Ray, both of Milford, passed away at 2 p.m. Friday in Orlando. Death was <kie to an illness of several years with cancer. Mr Bechtel was born January 17. 1931 and was united in marriage to Doris McKeeman in June of 1951. He was a career U.S. Navy man and he was medically discharged about 10 years ago Surviving with the wife are two aaughters, Sanna and Debbie; two sons, Larry and Ronald, all at home; his father. Manford Bechtel of Goshen; his mother, Mrs. Anna Hickman of Milford, three sisters, Mrs. Mar.guerite Miller, Monroe, Mich., Mrs Evelyn Rink of Syracuse and Mrs. Barbara Ray, Milford; two brothers. Earl of South Bend ahd Paul of White Cloud, Mich , and his grandfather, Noah Bechtel of Wakarusa Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m Tuesday with burial at Arlington National cemetery, Washington. D.C.

Rufus Oliver Kilmer * Rufus Oliver Kilmer, 87, Wakarusa, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at the Goshen hospital where he had been a patient for four and one-half weeks Before entering the hospital he was a resident of the Maple Shade nursing home where he had been living for three and one-half years. Mr. Kilmer had been in failing health for six years. Mr. Kilmer was born March 3, 1885 to Phillip and Anna (Moyer) Kilmer. On December 13, 1903 he was united in marriage to Fanna May Ernest who preceded him in death on November 23, 1929. He was married to Anna H. Seawald in 1934 and she preceded him in death on April 10, 1954. He was a member of the Camp Creek Church of the Brethren and a retired Liberty Homes employee. Survivors include six sons, Clinton and Rufus Guy, both of Carl O. and Herman, both of Elkhart. Henry. Syracuse. Orvil, Milford; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Catherine) Hale, Goshen; 28 grandchildren; 50 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Oscar, Elkhart. "Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Louis Showers officiating and burial was in the Olive cemetery. Mrs. Jennie Giant Mrs. Jennie Giant, 90, Walkerton, formerly of Leesburg and a sister to Mrs. Mollie Giant of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday at 4:40 p.m. at the E. Street Divisional hospital in LaPorte Death was caused by complications following an extended illness. She had resided at the Walkerton nursing home for six years. Mrs. Giant was born on May 10, 1881 and married Lewis Giant who preceded her in death in 1939 Survjvors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Wayne McCann, Plymouth; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Giant, Leesburg and Mrs. Addie Whiteleather, Warsaw; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Private services were con-
ducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Leesburg cemetery with Rev. John W. Goodpasture officiating. Mrs. Walter Whonsetler Word has been received of the death of Gretchen Whonsetler, 74, Fort Wayne, a native of the Syracuse-Cromwell area, the last of April. She was the sister of Ernest Carl Smith. 76, Fort Wayne, whose funeral services were held on May 2. Mrs. Whonsetler was dead on arrival at Parkview Memorial hospital on April 27. She was born in Syracuse to Homer and Hattie Smith and moved to Cromwell where she graduated from Cromwell high school in 1917. Her husband. Walter, preceded her in death in 1959. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran church at Fort Wayne. Surviving are a son. RevRichard Whonsetler of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters. Miss Harriett and Miss Margaret, both at home; and two other brothers. Edward of Auburn and Everett, Louisville, Ky.; and one sister, Mrs. Cecilia Kuhn of the North W'ebster area Virgil Fisher Virgil Fisher. 72. r 1 Bremen, a brother to Charles Fisher of Milford, passed away at 11 a m. on Friday at the Bremen Community hospital. Mr. Fisher had been ill for six months. Mr. Fisher was born February 14, 1900 in Milford and was an active farmer in the Bremen community for the past 55 years. He was united in marriage to Anna Fox on October 17,1917 and she survives. Other survivors include four sons. Herschel, Bourbon, Donald, Nappanee. G. Dean, Plymouth, Wayne, Bremen; 12 grandchildren; four great-grand-children; one brother. Charles of Milford; and one sister, Mrs. Hallet Whitehead, Wyatt. One brother, Ralph, Goshen, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 1972. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Robert Klatt officiating. Burial was in the Bremen cemetery. Ralph Fisher Ralph Fisher, 86, 1503 South Eleventh St., Goshen and a former Milford resident, passed away at 12:20 a m. Tuesday at his home. He had been ill for one and a half years. Mr. Fisher was bom in Milford on October 4, 1885 and had resided in the Goshen area for 16 years where he had moved from Clinton township where he farmed. On October 17. 1906 he was united in marriage to Edith Huber who preceded him in death on August 13. 1960. Mr. Fisher was a member of the Brenneman Memorial Missionary church. Survivors include two sons.
Vernon J. and Ralph Lowell, both of Goshen; three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Mildred) Scott, Mrs. Willis (Gladys Joy) Kistler and Mrs. George (Mary Opal) Stump, all of Goshen; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandchild; one brother Charles Fisher, Nappanee; and one sister, Mrs. Hallet Whitehead of Bremen. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Yoder-Culp funeral home. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Goshen funeral home. Rev. G. G. Waun will officiate and burial will be in Vidett cemetery. Mrs. William Cutter Services were held Monday for Mrs. William J. Cutter, 71, Elkhart and stepmother of William Cutter of Syracuse. She died Friday in the Peterson nursing home at Goshen where she had been a patient two years. Mrs. Cutter was born September 12, 1901 and her husband George Sigsbee preceded her in death in 1960. She married William Cutter in 1963 and he passed away in 1966. Mrs. Cutter is survived by two daughters and two sons, all of Elkhart, one other stepson, a stepdaughter, eight grandchildren. nine greatgrandchildren and two brothers. John T. Ripley Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) for John Thomas Ripley 78, r 2 Syracuse and father of Mrs. Clarence (Lois) Schoeff, also of r 2. Mr. Ripley passed away at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in Elkhart hospital where he had been a patient for the past nine weeks. He had been in ill health for the past three and onehalf months Mr. Ripley was born in Huntington county on October 17,1893 to John and Lucretia (Mann) Ripley and had resided in Kosciusko county for the past two years. He was united in marriage on August 15, 1915 to the former Grace Campbell and she survives. He was active in various Masonic lodges and held a lifetime membership in the Greenleaf lodge at Kinderhook. Mich. Mr. Ripley was a school teacher in Huntington county before purchasing the Roanoke grocery which he operated for several years prior to moving to Bronson. Mich., where he was a farmer. He was a member of the Roanoke United Methodist church. In addition to the widow and Syracuse daughter, he is also survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Sparks of Fort Wayne; three sons, John of Drayton. Plains, Mich., Thomas, Lansing, Mich., and Myron of Findlay, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers. Burial was in Union Township cemetery near Huntington. Ernest Rollins Ernest Rollins, 74, Cromwell, father of Mrs. Gene (Juanita) Felts of Syracuse and Herman Rollins of Dewart Lake, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at his home. He was bom February 28, 1898 at Morehead, Ky., and lived in the Cromwell community for the past 33 years. He was a carpenter. His wife, the former Adah Reed, survives. Also surviving are four other sons, James of Albion, Kenneth. Cromwell, and Clyde and Eugene, both of Ligonier; one other daughter, Mrs. Irene Fisher of Cromwell; 10 grandchildren; and three sisters. Friends may call at the Ulrey funeral home at Cromwell after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Donald Poyser officiating and burial in Sparta cemetery.
