Scouts Hold Clean-Up Day Approximately 60 Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and their leaders met at Waubee Park for a cleanup day on Saturday, April 29. At noon they enjoyed a cookout -sponsored by the parkboard. After cleaning the park, the youths picked up trash alongside the road from the park to the railroad tracks. Two Injured In Three-Vehicle Crash A Goshen mother and her infant son sustained minor injuries in a three-car mishap at the intersection of Eighth and Madison Streets Tuesday, May 2, and received treatment at Goshen hospital. They were later released. Millard Hire. 74, Syracuse, was third in line of three vehicles stopped for the light on Madison when his foot apparently slipped from the brake and his truck rammed the back of the auto driven by Mrs. Betty Ecklebarger, 20, Goshen. The mishap then sent the Ecklebarger auto into the first vehicle in line, driven by Forrest Cripe. 70, Goshen. Mrs. Ecklebarger complained of a pain to the right knee and her two-month-old son. Jamie, was thrown into the dash board of the car. Damage by authorities was set at >SOO to the Ecklebarger vehicle. >75 to the Cripe auto and SSO to Hire’s truck. Four Arrested At Milford Over Past Week End Members of the Milford police department picked up four persons over the week end. giving tickets to three and taking the fourth into custody. Those stopped by the police were: Jacob Eugene Miller. 23. New Paris, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct; Jerry W. Bates, 18, 731 E. Fort Wayne, Warsaw, for public intoxication and illegal consumption and his brother, Ronnie Clay Bates, Risner. Ky., for public intoxication; And, James F. Ashby, 21,151 E. Johns St., Nappanee, was taken into custody and turned over to the Goshen police at 7:55 p.m. Saturday. Ashby’s 1966 Ford was involved in a hit and run accident at 4:40 a m. Saturday in Goshen. Trinity Circle Holds Brunch Mrs. Ralph Thornburg was hostess for the Trinity circle of Saint Andrew’s Methodist church on May 4 with 11 members and one guest, Mrs. Sherman Love, in attendance. A May brunch was served at tables with daffodil cloths, centered with spring flowers. Mrs. Vern Brinkman, chairman, presided over the business meeting and Mrs. George Kelopfer gave the program “With God and You." Mrs. Love was received as a new member Mrs. J. M. Rapp will entertain
