parliamentarian. Mrs. Shell reported on the national council held recently in South Bend. Members attending from Ligonier were Mrs. Atz, Mrs. Gerke, Mrs. Holm, Mrs. Stahly and Mrs. Shell. Mrs. Beatrice Stanley gave an interesting demonstration on floral arranging. The group discussed plans for husbands' night in the near future. There was also discussion on revision of the constitution. BPW To Meet On Thursday The Business and Professional Women’s club will meet at Maggi’s Cupboard Thursday evening with the legislation committee in charge. Ellsworth Peterson, state representative from this district, will be the speaker. Hostesses are Miss Grace Bickel, Miss Helen Wolfe and Miss Gladys Gillespie. Final plans for the breakfast for West Noble high school girls will be made. The group of graduating students is entertained each year by the club.

Revival Underway At Nazarene Church Here There will be revival meetings at the Church of the Nazarene each evening at 7:30 through April 30. Rev. Vance Davison will be the evangelist. Mrs. Carl Flint Is GC Graduate Mrs. Carl Flint, the former Nancy Sue Summerville, was among those taking part in the Goshen college commencement Sunday afternoon. She will complete requirements for her bachelor of science degree in education in August. She is a 1960 graduate of Ligonier high school. Perry Pacesetters Meet Monday Perry Pacesetters Boys 4-H dub met Monday evening at the Ligonier elementary school. Devotions were given by Leland Hooley with Jim Perkins leading the pledge to the flag. Tammy Hicks led the 4-H pledge. A roller skating party was planned for Monday in Columbia Qty.

Jay cee-Ettes Hold Meeting The Ligonier Jaycee-Ettes met in the community room of the American State Bank Tuesday evening with Janet Harper and Jan Frick as hostesses. The group discussed their officers’ dinner scheduled for April 29 and made plans for a bake sale in the near future. o ——‘Lr—“ New Highway Patrolman Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Saggars attended graduation ceremonies in Salina, Kan., recently when their son, Steven H. Saggars was one of 21 new state troopers to graduate, having completed 490 hours of training at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Center. —L— » Dorothy Cooper Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Dorothy Cooper, 73, Ligonier native of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Bowie and graduated from Ligonier high school. ___ Her husband, Floyd Cooper, formerly of Albion, survives, also

a son, David; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Qeveland Heights and burial in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Special Program Set For Historical Society Ralph Boice, long-time operator of the Strand Theatre in Warsaw, will present the program at the Kosciusko County Historical Society meeting scheduled for May 1. Boice will draw from bis library of hundreds of films to present a program of films of the 1930 and 1940 eras. All persons in the area are invited to attend at 7:30 o’clock in the evening in the Shrine building at the county fairgrounds, Warsaw. Ronald Sharp, president of the society, announced that committee reports will be given on the Pound Museum, Project Discovery, proposed genealogical division and others. These are among the projects being undertaken by the society during the year 1972.

Area Banks Join In Reward Offer The Cromwell State Bank and the American State Bank of Ligonier have joined 24 other banks in Indiana and Ohio in offering a $14,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who killed a Fremont, Ind., couple and robbed the First National Bank of Fremont last October 15. Steuben county sheriff Ron Parker announced the reward offer after conferring with Lewis F. Gray, president of the Northeastern Indiana Quad County Bankers Association and J. G. Toner, president of the Edon State Bank, Edon, Ohio, representing the bankers of Williams county, Ohio. Semi Tips Near Benton Semi-tractor truck driver Albert Hershberger, 61, Goshen, sustained a bruise of the right forearm when the 1964 rig which he was driving, rolled-over on its side on Indiana 33 north of U.S. 6 at 10:15 last Wednesday morning, blocking the roadway for a number of hours. K The driver, who refused medical attention, was traveling at 40 miles an how and pulled to the right for an oncoming vehicle when the wheels of the rig went into the soft berm south of Benton and tipped over on its side. Investigating officers set damages at $2,000. Completes Course At South Bend Officer Joe Thornburg of the Syracuse police department has completed an 18-how course on accident investigation at the South Bend police academy. Jean Epply And Janies Duffield Wed April 22 In Trinity Church

The wedding of Miss Jean Marie Eppley and James D. Duffield, Jr., took place at 7 o’clock on the evening of April 22 in the Trinity United Methodist church in Huntington. The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Paul If. Eppley of 1055 North Jefferson street, Hun ting ton. The bridegroom is the son of James D. Duffield of r 1 Murphysboro, 111., and the late Mrs. Duffield. Candelabra and fan shaped bouquets of mixed spring flowers decorated the church. Mrs. Dean Eppley served as organist and Dean Eppley was soloist. Rev. W. W. Kennell and Rev. Paul Eppley officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory peau de soie gown with A-line style and waist length tapered sleeves. The bodice, skirt and sleeves were trimmed with lace rose appliques. Her chapel length train with its elbow length veil of tulle was held in place by a face framing lace headpiece. She also wore an antique necklace of gold, sapphires and pearl that had once belonged to her greatgrandmother. The bride carried

an old fashioned cluster of spring blossoms and baby breath with fresh violets and lily of the valley. Ruth Ann Eppley served as maid of honor. She wore a floorlength gown in mint green crepe with organza ruffled neckline and sleeves. A satin ribbon bedecked the empire waist. She wore flowers in her hair and carried a nosegay of mixed spring flowers with baby breath and mint green ribbons. Wayne Eppley was best man. Ushers were Lee Eppley and Clyde Pries. Mrs. Eppley wore an aqua ensemble with white trim and navy accessories. Her corsage was a cluster of spring flowers made to coordinate with the wedding flowers and compliment her ensemble. A reception followed in the church hall immediately following the ceremony. Serving were Mrs. Lois Pries, Miss Dianna Pries, Miss Lynette Pries and Mrs. Dale Eppley.

Eighth Missionary Conference Set Wawasee Heights Baptist church, Syracuse, announces its eighth annual missionary conference which begins Sunday, April 30. Rev. and Mrs. Frank Hartwig, returned missionaries from the Philippines, and Rev. and Mrs. Jerome Moore, appointees to Brazil, will be ministering throughout the day. Services are at 9:30, 10:30 and 7 o’clock. The senior high youth group meets at 8:15, with all other youth groups meeting at 6 o’clock. Dr. Henry Osborne, returned missionary from Venezuela, will present “Venezuela Profile,” a slide-tape presentation using three screens and showing over 500 slides with sodnd effects in the space of a half-hour, Wednesday, May 3, at 7 p.m. The conference continues on Saturday, May 6, with an International Banquet at the church at 6:30 followed by a panel discussion. Closing sessions of the conference will be Sunday, May 7. Featured during the final two days will be Dr. Harold Amstutz, candidate secretary for the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism and Rev. and Mrs. Dave Fidler, appointees to Bangli Desh. Die public is invited and encouraged to attend each service. Bob Mundy pastors the church, which is located across from Wawasee high school.
