Albert Hall Albert Hall. 75, r 2 Claypool, father of Albert Hall, Leesburg, passed away at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at his home. Death was caused by complications following an illness of five years. Mr. Hall was born April 16.1896 in Foyd county, Kentucky to William and Mollie (Wallen) Hall. He was united in marriage an September 25, 1914 to Anna Jane Stephens who preceded him *m death on March 28, 1972. Mr. Hall was a retired coal miner, a member of the Packerton Free Will Baptist church and the Packerton Community He had been a Resident of the area since moving from Kentucky in 1954. Ohio; five half-brothers. Bill, Lagro. James, Floyd and Frank, all of Claypool and Tony of Michigan City; three half-sisters. Martha Ancil, Silver Lake, Mary A. Kindrick, Winona Lake, Naomi Sietz, address unknown; and his step-mother, Mrs. isom (Pearlie) Hurd, Claypool. Services were conducted Friday, April 14. at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chad Burkhart officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pearl Coon Pearl (Funk) Coon, 61, Leesburg, passed away Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Goshen hospital. She had been ill for a short period of time. Mrs. Coon was born near North Webster on October 21, 1910 to Chester and Nellie (Smith) Funk. She was united in marriage to □iff Coon on February 14, 1946 and he survives. ‘ She had been a resident of the Leesburg area all her life, was a member of the Grace Brethren church of Leesburg and belonged to the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary. In addition to the husband she is survived by one son. George Carter. Kimmell; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Ellen) Zehr, Grabill and Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Tyson of Leesburg; eight grand-

children; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Keefer, North Manchester and Mrs. Margaret Schoonover of Fort Wayne. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gyde Landrum of Winona officiating and burial was in the Leesburg cemetery. Miss Dorothy Hand Funeral services were held Thursday for Miss Dorothy Hand, 33. Warsaw, a former Syracuse teacher. She died of complications on Tuesday at the Prairie View Rest home following an extended illness of six years. Miss Hand was a graduate of Taylor university, Upland and did graduate work at Grace college. In addition she taught faone year in the Syracuse school system. She was born in Warsaw on April 5, 1939 to Charles and Minnie (Helbling) Hand, and the father survives. Also surviving are four brothers and an aunt. Burial was in Rice cemetery at Elkhart. Mrs. Jodie Sparks Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Jodie (Susie) Sparks. 89, of Warsaw and cousin of Mrs. Lester Gray of North Webster. She died Friday afternoon at Miller’s Merry Manor. Mrs. Sparks moved to the Warsaw area at the age of 20 and her husband, Jodie Sparks, to whom she was married in 1911. died in 1943. She was a member of the Sa lone Rebekah lodge and the First United Methodist church. She is also survived by a cousin, Mrs. Thurlow Shoemaker, Jr., of Warsaw and three nieces. Harry Hepler Harry Hepler, 79.1527 Kimball St., South Bend, a brother to W’illard Hepler of Leesburg, died Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Saint Joseph's hospital in South Bend. Mr. Hepler was born in September of 1892 to George and Katie (Smith) Hepler and was united in marriage to Mamie McNaughton on March 20. 1925 and she preceded him in death on June 18,1962. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving -is the brother Willard of Leesburg Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev-. Harry Spaeth officiating. Interment will be in Hepton Union cemetery. Cecile Zellinger 1 Mrs. Cecile Zellinger, 79, New Paris, sister to Ralph Neff of Milford, passed away at 1 p.m. Saturday at her hone. She had been ill for nine years. Mrs. Zellinger was born near Milford July 17, 1892 to Orville and Cora Neff. She was united in marriage on November 27,1913 to Willard Zellinger who survivies. Mrs. Ivan (Erma) Bailey, Goshen and Mrs. Harry- (Donnabelle) Smith of New Paris; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Woodrow Immel officiating and burial was in the New Paris cemetery. Harvey Elliott Services were held Monday morning for Harvey Elliott, 86. Goshen and father of Mrs. Seth (Ella Mae) Hoover of Syracuse, who died early Friday morning at Goshen hospital. Mr. Elliott was born in Clinton township on July 7,1885 to Homer and Adeline Elliott. His wife, the former Mary Stiver, to whom he was married in 1910, died in 1953. He was a farmer and retired in 1953 from Goshen Churn and Ladder. Also surviving are four sons, Alvin and Melvin, both of Goshen, and Charles and Willis, both of New Paris; one other daughter, Mrs Ray (Gladys) Quake, Three Rivers, Mich.; one stepdaughter; 19 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister. Calvin Blosser Final rites were held Sunday at Wakarusa for Calvin Blosser. 77, of Wakarusa and father of Jerry Blosser and Mrs. Lawrence (Doris Ann) Byrket, both of Syracuse. He passed away Thursday evening at a nursing home where he had been a patient since January 29. Mr. Blosser had been in failing health for four years. He was born in Union township on November 6, 1894 to Arcenis and Elizabeth (Mishler) Blosser. He retired as a farmer and stock buyer in 1960 and is survived by his wife, the former Edna Phillips, to whom he was married on June 19.1915. Mr. Blosser was a member of the Wakarusa Church of the Brethren Also surviving in addition to the widow and Syracuse children are: five other sons, Eugene of r 1 Elkhart, John, Edwardsburg, Mich., Billy of Anaheim, Calif., Paul of Wakarusa and Dennis Ray, Bremen; three other daughters, Mrs. William (Lois) Berry of Fullerton. Calif., Mrs. Kenneth (Betty Jean) Studebaker, Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Lewis (Pat) Watkins, Bourbon; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister. A son, Max, preceded him in death in 1953. Alva Warren Latson In failing health for the past three years, Alva Warren Latson, 73, Warsaw, and father of Mrs. Hurshul (Alice) Bell of North Webster, was pronounced dead on arrival at Murphy Medical Center Sunday night. TheWarsaw emergency unit had responded to a call at the Latson home after the deceased had apparently suffered a heart attack. A retired farmer, Mr. Latson was a lifetime resident of the area. He was bom in the Barbee Lakes area on December 11,1898 to Frank and Nancy (Wissler) Latson. In addition to the daughter, he is survived by two grandchildren, and one sister. Mrs. Hazel Linn of Warsaw. Services were held today at North Webster and interment was in North Webster cemetery Mrs. Edward R. LeCount Mrs. Rea Bemiece LeCount, 82, r 1 Millersburg and mother of Mrs. Gordon (Phyllis) Sheline, Jr., r 4 Syracuse, passed away Sunday morning at her home after suffering a stroke. Mrs. LeCount was born on August 15.1889 in Elkhart county to Jacob E. and Nancy (Stansbury) Baker. She was united in marriage on March 1, 1911 to Edward R LeCount and he preceded her in death in 1967.

Mrs. Chester McCuen Mrs. Margaret Ellen McCuen, 53, r 1 Syracuse, died at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday in Goshen hospital where she had been a patient. Death was due to complications due to cancer following an illness of several years. Mrs. McCuen was born on August 20. 1918 in Nappanee to Frank A. and Gladys (Johnson) Reherer. She moved to the Syracuse community from South Bend in 1955. Her marriage to Chester McCuen took place on March 6, 1948 at Indianapolis. Mrs. McCuen was a SPAR in the coast guard from 1943-1945. She was a member of the First Brethren church at Nappanee and a former member of the Business and Professional Women's organization at Syracuse. In addition to the husband and step-mother, Fern, both of * Syracuse, she is survived by cousins and aunts. A brother and father preceded her in death. Services will be held at the First Brethren church in Nappanee at 1:30 Thursday afternoon with Rev. W. St. Gair Benshoff officiating and burial will be in Union Center cemetery. Friends may call at the Harris funeral home in Syracuse on Wednesday afternoon and evening after which the body will lay in state at the Nappanee church from noon until service time Thursday. David Hoerr Death claimed David A. Hoerr, 75, founder and president of D. A. Hoerr and Sons nursery and landscaping and brother of John C. Hoerr of Milford, at 4 p.m. April 11 in the Methodist hospital at Peoria. 111. Hoerr was born October 14, 1896 in Fairbury to John C. and Marie (Rapp) Hoerr. Sr., and married Rose Yoder on December 23,1918 in Muscatine, lowa. She died in Peoria on May 12, 1969. He then married Barbara Pfister on January 7, 1970. The Hoerr family is former residents of the Milford area residing on a farm northwest of town. Surviving with the widow are six sons, David, Ralph, Carl James and John of Peoria and George of Lucerne, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Marie) Huber of Fairbury, Mrs. Arthur (Mildred) Moser and Mrs. Stephen (Elosie) Meister, both of Peoria and Miss Florence Hoerr of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil; four brothers, John of Milford, Peter. Alfred and Edward, all of Peoria; and one sister, Mrs. Vernon (Marie) Schumacher of Morton; 47 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son. Irvin and one daughter, Ruth. He was active in his nursery business for 47 years. He was a member of the Sheridan Road Apostolic Christian church where services were held on Friday. Burial was in the Springdale cemetery. Jack Brownstein Word has been received here today of the death and burial of Jack Brownstein at Fairfax, Va. He was the husband of the former Bertha Nicolai of Syracuse. Mrs. Homer Campbell of Atwood was a Wednesday afternoon guest of Mrs. Walter Nyce of r 1 Milford.

NIPSCo Tower Victim Is Former Syracusean

Lantz, a former Syracuse resident and employee of the Frog Tavern, was killed last week near Remington when an electrical tower on which he was working, collapsed. Another employee, apprentice lineman Darrell L. Peters, 24, Winamac, was dead on arrival at White county hospital in Monticello and Ldhtz died about one hour later.
