Pilcher’s team won the scratch team event with a 2784 and Anchor Bar won the handicap team event with 3097. Winning in the doubles event were Stayer and Frushour with 1182 scratch. Perry and Herr won the handicap division with 1309. Stayer and Eby tied for first in the scratch division of the singles with 622 and Wortinger won the handicap with 716. All events were won by Stayer with 1817 and Wortinger with 1950.
WTCU Will Hold Spring Institute At New Salem The Kosciusko County WCTU will hold their spring institute on April 13 at the New Salem Church of the Brethren north of Leesburg to 900 N, then east two miles to 200EThe meeting will start at 10 a.m. with reports of officers and directors with Mrs. Herbert Eberhardt of Winona in charge. The Milford and Syracuse union will provide a carry-in dinner at noon with Mrs. Glen Morehouse as hostess. Rev. George Holston of Kokomo will conduct devotions. Mrs. John V. Stevens of Kokomo, state associate director’ of education, will be institute director. The public is invited.
