A total of ten North Wood Future Teachers of America visited the Wawasee FTA chapter on Wednesday, March 8. to complete the second half of an exchange program between the two schools Wawasee is sponsoring the North Wood chapter during its initial year in FTA and the Wawasee FTA visited at North Wood on February 8. The clubs are sharing ideas for programs and projects for the next school year. Each FTA member from North Wood had a Wawasee student who served as guide for

Mark Grady’s “Electroculture” won the grand championship of the Wawasee high school science fair this past week end. The reserve champion award went to Pat Billian for “Effects of Herbicides on Pratoroicus.” Both entered the biological sciences division of the fair. College Night At Whitko High Set For Tonight The guidance department of Whitko high school is sponsoring a college night at the high school on Wednesday, March 15, at 7:00 p.m., for all high school students and their parents. There will be representatives from the various colleges and universities of Indiana. There will be two, thirty minute sessions available for students and parents to visit the college representative and learn more about the institution of higher learning of their choice. The program is as follows: 6:45-7:10 — Whitko high school band 7:10-7:15 — Welcome and announcements 7:20-7:50 — First college counseling session 7:55-8:25 — Second college counseling session 8:30 — Adjournment All interested students and parents are urged to attend and participate in the first college night. Students and parents from Columbia City and Warsaw are also cordially invited to attend.
