■MH Shearer Facts .. . ByCARLSHEARER IT’S A FACT ... that many people are so frustrated by problems of life that they never get on with the business of dealing with them. Did you ever notice that Jesus didn't speculate on why temptation should be in this world. He met it and after 40 days struggle conquered. He did not discourse on the dignity of labor he worked at a carpenter's bench. He did not try to prove the existence of God; he brought him, lived in God, and men looking upon his face could not find it within themselves to doubt God. He did not discourse on the equal worth of personalities; he went to the poor and outcast and ate with them. He not only preached on how the weakest human material can be transformed; he called to him weak men and transformed them. We invite you to the Milford Christian Church to learn more about Jesus.

Wawasee Grabs 3d Place At Goshen Invitational
By TED SPEICHER Wawasee made a very good first place showing in Saturday night’s Goshen tourney finals. The competition of eight teams — Wawasee, Fort Wayne North, Goshen, Lakeland, Concord, Jimtown, North Wood and Fairfield — started early Saturday morning with each boy competing in his respective weight class. In order to win his division the boys had to win three consecutive victories. Dan Doll was the Warriors first blue ribbon winner as he defeated Hershberger of Goshen for the 114 title. Dan won an opening 4-0 decision over Fairfield’s Brown. He then pinned Jimtown’s Renolds at 5:08 and won the 114 pound class with a 4-2 victory over Goshen's Hershberger. Blond bomber Steve Vanlaningham won the 147 pound title. Steve did an absolutely superb job throughout the contest. Steve decisioned Concord’s Smith 8-7, bested Lakeland’s Sparer 2-1 and decisioned Jimtown’s Leslie 8-4 to win the 147 pound division. Big Dave VanLue perhaps won the most physical matches of the day as he first stopped Goshen’s Myers 2-1 in overtime. The win over Myers was a big one for Dave as Myers had defeated him earlier in the season 10-6. Dave also decisioned Lakeland’s Carney 8-2, winning 167 pound honors by stopping Concord’s Adcock 10-8. Wawasee’s outstanding first year wrestler Kim Cripe preformed beautifully as he defeated each of his opponents by pins. The last pin, to win the 185 pound class, avenged an earlier defeat 11-3 at the hands of Goshen’s Pestow. Kim, however, made up for that as he dropped Pestow for a pin and the cham-
score of 34 to 31. Craig Sorensen led the Trojan scoring as he pumped in 13 points. Steve Troup added eight points for the winners. Forest Ray, Milford’s six foot, one inch center cleared the boards for his Trojan team as he pulled off 14 rebounds. Milford vs Syracuse Syracuse gained a spot in the
