Bonar Lake or Boner Lake, was a question pondered by this writer this past week and a little information was gained but nothing definite. County recorder E. Maiie Alexander supplied the information that the spelling is Boner in a record of the lakes of the county, however, in the old platbook of Turkey Creek, the spelling is Bonar. Then again, in further checking, a 1914 Atlas used the “e”, and the large county map at the court house shows it as Boner Lake Further records dated 1879 show the name of W. F. Booner as owning the property at that time. Therefore, a mystery still prevails as to origination and proper spelling of this lake located east of Syracuse, and two different spellings will presumably be used, both correct. We're Tired Os Being Simply Lumped Together
Dear Editor: “How Kids Have Changed” by Kathy Nash, really bothered me, I feel it was extremely biased. This lady let a highly advertised minority rule her mind when she condemned so many of the youths today. Sure, our generation has some individuals that do indulge in what she accused them of. Every generation has its own share of unfavorable individuals. So, please don't lump us all together. Kids today are well deserving of their individuality. A pessimistic attitude will not get you far. One small line, “Not all

Maybe a lot more optimism toward every generation would promote some badly needed unity. Kathy Nash, take a second look at your poem that is directed toward kids. It could fit so many generations.
