facts about ‘OUR TOWN* Milford, Ind. By JERI SEELY Here’s another photo of the fire that hit Our Town in May of 1902. We were especially interested in this photo because it shows the old Milford Mail office which is located in approximately the same place as our new addition. Another building that interested us to a great extent is the one directly east and a little south of The Milford Mail building. Is it a church? For those of our readers who don’t know about the fire, a total of 11 business rooms were wiped out as two-thirds of the east side of Main street was in ashes. Losses were estimated at between $30,000 and $35,000. “The gobbling will get you if you don't watch out . . They'll be on the streets in Our Town on Friday and Saturday nights in celebration of All Saints Day and they will be looking for trick or treats. The annual festivities will be held in the junior high school gym beginning at 6:30 p.m. with an

Bea and Russell Ruch are proud of their eldest son, Craig, who has become associated with the First United Methodist church in Logansport. < i Craig is a junior at Indiana Central college in Indianapolis and will be working at the church ’ on week ends. A reception is ] being planned in his honor this coming week end. —o— I Have you seen the Halloween ’ decorations at the home of the 1 Martin Graffs? We think they are very unique and when the scarecrow posed in a photo (to be I found elsewhere in this issue) we thought it was a youngster dressed for the season until told otherwise. How about this weather! For those of you who have gone south for the winter we shall say you left too soon. It was in the 70*s here Tuesday. It’s been such a warm autumn we can’t help but wonder about winter! Don’t forget to vote next week in the town election.
