Mrs. Norma Gill Graveside services were held Monday for Mrs. Norma (Robinson) Gill, 81, formerly of Tippecanoe Lake. Rev. David Gower officiated and burial was in Oswego cemetery. Mrs. Gill passed away at Fairfax hospital, Falls Church, Va. She was bom at Redkey on June 3, 1890 to William and Olive (King) Robinson. A housewife, she had resided with her son, Dr. D. D. Gill for several years and had been making her home« recently with a daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Norma) Wright of Falls Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Frankfort. Surviving in addition to the daughter in Virginia and son at Clearwater, Fla., are four grandchildren. Mrs. Robert R. Walker Funeral services were held Saturday in Huntington for Mrs. Virginia E. Walker, 56, of Bayview Drive near the Backwaters, North Webster. She died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at Whitley County hospital where she was taken after being found unconscious in the attic of her home. A former North Webster resident, she died at 3:30 Friday morning in Porter Memorial hospital at Valparaiso. Mrs Konkle was bom on October 17, 1900 at Portland to Grant and Lutie (Harter) Ryan and resided with a daughter. Robert Fisher Mrs. Vance Moots of Syracuse received word this week of the death of Robert Fisher of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and burial was at Colonial cemetery, Fort Myers. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher operated the former Guide restaurant at Syracuse on the east side of Lake Wawasee for a number of years and . were well known in the Syracuse community. Edgar Weil Word has been received in the Syracuse community of the death of Edgar Weil at his Cleveland. Ohio, home. His summer home was at 188 North Shore Drive, Syracuse, and he was president of Vitreous Steel Products Co,, with manufacturing at Nappanee and home offices in Cleveland. T. I. Hampton T. I. Hampton, 79. Huntington, father of Mrs. S. L. (Thelma) Coffman. New Paris, passed away Tuesday evening at 6:30 at a. hospital in Huntington. Death was due to complications following surgery. Mr. Hampton was bom August 7, 1892, in Paulding, Ohio, On October 14,1910, he married the former Mina Randall who survives. Survivors include the widow, one daughter; one son, Dan of Muncie; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at Huntington with burial in a cemetery in Michigan * Court News Divorces Filed Dorothy Connolly, Syracuse, from James C. Connolly. LIGONIER NEWS By Rose Cunningham Perry Township Club Meets Perry Township Homemakers Extension club met Wednesday at the Eagles Hall with 22 members present. Roll call was answered to “A Funny Halloween Prank”. Election of officers was held with the following results: Elbert Roe — president Mrs. Russell Wallace — vice president Mrs. Stacy Archer — secretary Mrs. Robert Duesler — treasurer. Mrs. Dorothy Bobeck and Mrs. Wallace gave their report on a trip with the Noble county group when they recently went by bus to Chicago. Sara Lee Kitchens, Haeger Pottery and a boatride on the Chicago river were highlights of the trip. Mrs. Harold Simmons gave devotions and Mrs. Ruth Smith the Safety lesson. Mrs. Opal Van Curen read the verse of the month and Mrs. Forrest Slabaugh was in charge of "Show and Tell”. The group voted to give a donation to the United Fund. It was also announced that sheriff Roy Sales would be in charge of a lesson on safety to be given in Albion on October 13. The following dates were announced for future meetings: The Christmas Work Shop on October 21, in Albion; Achievement Night on November 15 at the West Noble high school. 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Ruth Smith gave the lesson on ‘‘Trees to fight pollution” and Mrs. Idres Paulus talked on "Planting of ground covers.” Hostesses were Mrs. Charles Moser and Mrs. Dorothy Bobeck. Frank McDaniel Receives 50-Year Masonic Award

Frank McDaniel was guest of honor at a potluck supper of Masonic Lodge members and their families Saturday evening at the Masonic Temple. He was presented his 50-year pin by Dr. Floyd Warren, Master of Ligonier Lodge, who represented the Grand Lodge of Indiana. Mrs. McDaniel was presented a bouquet of roses from the Ligonier members. Wade, 53, 105 E. sth. St. Mrs. Wade died suddenly when stricken with a heart attack at her residence Wednesday. She was a native of McDowell Co., W. Va. and had resided in Ligonier for the past six years. Survivors include the husband Harry J. Wade Jr., two sons, Harry J. 11l and Roy, both of Ligonier; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Sims, Cromwell and Mrs. Larry Kilgore, Ligonier; nine grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Rev. Walter House was in charge of the services and burial was in Oak Park cemetery. Marvel Gale Miss Marvel Gale, 53, died in Goshen hospital Friday after ar extended illness of cancer. Miss Gale, presently employed by Monsanto, had for many years owned and operated a beauty shop in Ligonier. She was born September u, 1918 in Ligonier, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gale. Surviving are only cousins. Services were held in the Ulrey funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Walter House officiating and bural was in Oak Park cemetery. Alva Vance Alva Vance 71, of r 1 Ligonier, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday in the Maple Shades nursing home, Goshen, after an illness of nine months. Mr. Vance was bora in Ligonier June 10,1900 and spent his entire lifetime in the community. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, two daughters, Mrs. Norman Biddle, r 1, Ligonier and Mrs. Richard Shearer, r 2 Ligonier: seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a foster brother, Everett Vance, Ligonier. Rev. Donald Poyser was in charge of the services in the Ligonier funeral home Monday afternoon and burial was in Sparta cemetery, Kimmell.
