Jarrell Home Is Total Loss For more than two’ hours firemen from North Webster, Warsaw, and Pierceton worked to save the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jarrell of r 1 Warsaw. The home is located north of Staley’s Grocery on the Barbee Lake road. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Staley noted the fire, which began on the second story, and reported it shortly after closing their store. The Jarrells were not at home, but returned to find the home a total loss. —NW— Church Os The Brethren Has Singspiration A Singspiration was held during a recent Sunday evening service of the Church of the Brethren at North Webster. It had been arranged by the Beacon class taught by Glenn Whitehead. Organists for the evening were Mrs Joe Barrett and Mrs. Phil Mock and song leaders were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shock, Mrs. James Rowe. Mrs. Howard Kiser, and Merlin Cassell. Special music was provided by several groups. Singing duets were: Holly Barrett and Mrs. Phil Mock, Mrs. Clarence Mock and Mrs. Elmo Shock, and Mrs. James Rowe with daughter Kaye. In addition, Mrs. Paul Shrider sang a solo. Mrs. Merlin Cassell presented a musical reading, and Joe, Allen, and Holly Barrett formed a mixed trio. -NWCrime Control Is Kiwanis Program Topic Indianapolis Chief of Police Winston Churchill spoke in last Monday morning's meeting erf the Lakeland Kiwanis club. Crime control and compliance with the law were his topics. Mr. Churchill is the son of member Russell Churchill. Dan Watson accepted an award fXrAhe club which recognized it as having received first place in its division this year for gain in membership. It rates second in the entire state. The club has also been rated fifth in interclubs in its division. Bob Wallace of Frankton, Oliver Will of Huntington, Ray Statler of New Castle, Paul Tucker of Knox, and Vi Caldwell also of Huntington were guests.
