Saint Martin dePorres Church Setting For Smith-Hulley Vows
Miss Susan Irene Smith and John Robert Hulley were united marriage at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Saint Martin dePorres church south of Syracuse Father Eugene Zimmerman performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 100 guests. White candelabra with yellow candles flanked with mums and of matching colors graced the wedding scene * Parents of the bridal couple are Mrs. Orrin F Smith of Syracuse and the late Orrin Smith and Mr and Mrs Robert L. Campbell-Crow Wedding In Noblesville Church
Miss Sara Anne Campbell of 1*0124 Monument street, Noblesviile, and Charles L. Crow, 1638 South 10th street. Noblesviile, were united in marriage at 2:30 o’clock on Saturday, July 31, at the First United Methodist church at Noblesviile Parents of the couple are Dr. and Mrs. S. W Campbell of 901 McCormack Drive. New- Castle, and Mr and Mrs Maurice B, Crow , r 3 Syracuse Rev. Kendall Sands of Noblesviile officiated for the double ring ceremony in the presence of 200 guests. Brass candelabra flanked the sides of the kneeling bench for the wedding setting with tall baskets of yellow mums and a wedding candle completing the scene. ' Miss Elsie Scheuerlein. vocalist, sang "Entreat Me Not to Leave Thee,” and "The Lord’s Prayer." Bride In Silk Organza Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown erf white silk organza over taffeta with empire waist. The gown bodice, and cuffs of the sheer Bishop sleeves, were daisy patterned lace centered with pearls. Her train was chapel length and a white silk illusion mantilla, bofdered with lace braid to accent the gown, completed her attire. She carried a cascade of yellow and white roses and daisies entwined with ivy. Attendants Miss Kitty Campbell, sister erf the bride. New Castle, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of organza over taffeta featuring an empire bodice erf yellow and yellow puff sleeves The skirt was of yellow and orange daisy pattern and she carried a garden basket of yellow and white daisies Mrs M Gregory- Cammack of Noblesviile, Mrs. Sherman Gume, Noblesviile and Miss Sarah Ross. The bride, a graduate of Noblesviile high school with the class of 1966 and Indiana university in 1970 where she is a member erf Kappa Kappa Kappa and P.E.O. She teaches literature at Noblesviile junior high School. The bridegroom graduated from Syracuse high school in 1961 and Purdue university in 1966 where he was a member of Theta Xi social fraternity and the Elks club. Luyben-Campbell Exchange Vows At United Methodist Church
The Calvary United Methodist church south of Syracuse was the setting for the July 24 wedding uniting in marriage Miss Rebecca Luyben of r 4 Syracuse and Darrell Campbell of the U.S. Navy stationed at Long Beach, Calif. Parents df the couple are Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Luyben of r 4 Syracuse and Mr. and Mrs. E. Campbell, 19746 Detroit street. South Bend. Rev. K. E. Robinson, pastor of the'church. performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150 guests. White gladioli and pink carnations graced the altar setting with candlabra, seven candles each, flanking the arrangements. White satin bows accented the pews Philip Fawley of Syracuse presented organ selections of "Ave Maria", "One Alone”, “O Perfect Love", and the traditional wedding march. Given in Marriage Given in marriage by her father, the bride selected a gown of white sata peau and imported peau dange lace. The empire bodice was marked with a bowcentered band of satin and was fashioned with a scoop neckline and long bishop sleeves. The Aline skirt, detailed with scalloped lapeand back fullness, swept into a lace edged chapel length train. Her bouffant waist-length veil of imported French illusion was caught to a clip of lace petals centered with pink flowerettes. She carried a colonial oouquei of white carnations, pink rosebuds and lily of the valley, surrounded by white net and greenery with white satin streamers tied with pink rosebuds. Mrs. Corwyn Wong of Syracuse served as matron of honor in a gown of mint green summer crepe with scoop neckline, long sleeves and a fitted midriff section trimmed with white popcorn stitch lace The full skirt was fashioned as culottes. Bridesmaids were Mrs. James Kart of Fort Wayne and Miss Rosanne Reed. Cromwell. Their gowns were identical to the matron of honor only in pale pink. Each carried a single longstemmed white rose Larry Blake of South Bend served as best man. Ushers were Fred Buck and Jeffrey Botich, both of South Bend, Mrs. Luyben selected for her daughter's wedding, a pale yellow- double knit trimmed in white and white accessories. Her flowers were yellow rosebuds and white carnations. The mother of the bridegroom chose a champagne lace ensemble w-ith navy blue accessories. Her flowers were red rosebuds and white Reception A reception followed at a North Webster restaurant. A buffet was served to 125 guests. A four-tiered yvedding cake designed with a lighted fountain of pink water beneath the bottom tier graced the serving table. The fountain was surrounded by three small heart-shaped cakes decorated with doves. The large cake, decorated in the chosen colors of the bride, pink and green, was served by Mrs Michael Smith and Miss Teresa Helman. Miss Diane VanLue and Mrs. Barbara Klenke opened and registered gifts. Following a wedding trip to Saint Louis, the bridegroom will return to duty with the U.S. Navy at Long Beach. Calif., and the new Mrs Campbell will reside temporarily with her parents at Syracuse. The bride is a graduate of Wawasee high school with the class of 1971. Her husband graduated from Jackson high school at South Bend and attended Indiana university. South Bend campus, prior to entering the service Kingsley Pfingst returned by plane on Friday to his home near Sacramento, Calif., after spending the week in Syracuse with his parents. Aug. 14, in the Brenneman Memorial Missionary church uniting in marriage Miss Teresa Helman and Stephen Berkey. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Helman of r 1 Cromwell and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Berkey, 1017 S. 14th street, Goshen. Seven branch brass candelabra. a bridal prayer bench and a large arrangement of white gladioli and yellow carnations set the wedding scene of the church. Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a gown of white silk-faced taffeta and Rachelle lace with empire bodice and bateau neckline. The gown back was A-line and long puff sleeves completed the details. Her chapel length veil of silk illusion was bordered in Rachelle lace and she carried a round arrangement of yellow roses.
