Charles Korenstra Charles Korenstra. 58. of Elkhart, brother of Francis Korenstra, Milford, died Thursday at 5:45 pm at Elkhart hospital where he had been a patient for six days. He had been in ill health for three years Mr. Korenstra moved to Elkhart from Bristol last October He had previously lived in the Milford and Goshen areas Born March 11,1913, he was the son of Thomas and Jessie Dykstra Korenstra. For 21 years, he was an employee at the Wisler Packing Plant and was last employed at Parkwood Homes, Bristol He was a member of the South Bend Christian Reformed church. On June 3.1939. he was married to the former Evaellen Campbell, who survives Other survivors are four brothers, one of which is Francis Korenstra. and three sistersFuneral services were held Saturday at a funeral home in Goshen with Rev Herman Tietsma officiating Burial was m the Oak Ridge cemetery Mrs. Walter J. Phelps Mrs. Sarah Jane (Lucille) Phelps. 87. of Goshen, a former Milford resident, died Friday at 11.10 am. at Elkhart hospital where she was admitted May 3 Mrs Phelps was born August 2. 1883 in Elkhart county to Jacob and Alice (Browni Kirkdorfer in 1918, she married Walter J Phelps He preceded her m death November 7, 1954 Survivors include a sister. Miss Anna Kirkdorfer of Goshen Funeral services were held Monday at a funeral home in Goshen Rev Nevin H Zuck of the City Church of the Brethren officiated and burial was in Union Center cemetery Earl Adair, Jr. Earl Adair, Jr.. 31. Wawaka; died in Indiana University hospital. Indianapolis. He was born in Kosciusko county on February 10. 1940 to Earl and Ethel Fowler Adair. His mother is a former Milford resident. Survivors in addition to his mother, who now resides in Wawaka. are his widow. Ruby Sloan Adair, whom he married on October 30, 1962; two daughters. Angela Sue and Pamela Jo, both at home; two brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Ulrey funeral home, Ugonier, after 2 p.m today (Wednesday). The services will be held there on Thursday at 1 p.m with Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Casperville cemetery Adah H. Clayton Funeral services will be held in the Zion Chapel near Syracuse at 130 pm. Saturday for Mrs Eston (Adah H.) Clayton. 76. of 607 Front street. Syracuse Mrs Clayton died at 2:50 a m. this morning (Wednesday) in the Miller s Merry Manor at Warsaw of-complications She had been ill since last July The deceased was born in Syracuse on June 28. 1894 to Frederick’ and Amanda Jane (Nicolai) Hinderer She spent her entire life in the Syracuse area On September 3.1910 she married Eston Clayton in Syracuse He survives She was a member of the Zion Chapel church and the Women s Missionary Society. Surviving with her husband are two daughters. Mrs. William (Lucy) Rogers of Syracuse and Mrs Kenneth (Verla) Stump of Hampton, Va . two sons. Eldon of North Webster and Frederick of Syracuse; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters. Mrs Hattie Brown and Mrs Lucy Kegg, both of Syracuse, and one brother.
