Wawasee Clipped Ry East Noble 61-57
By JOHN BAHN The Wawasee Warrior track team was beaten by East Noble last Wednesday evening by a close 61-57 on the Wawasee cinder. Jay Longenecker broke his own record for the 440 yard dash with a 53.6. His old record was 54.1. Clint Olson set a school record in the pole vault with a height of 12 feet, 24 inches He broke this record on Saturday at the Goshen Relays when he Went 12 feet, four inches The “B” team scored 56 and one third points to East Noble’s 60 and two thirds The summary follows: 100 — Coburn W, Wappes EN, Spearman W Time: 10.9 220 Wappes EN. Milford, was arrested twice for the same violation within 10 hours. The first arrest was made at 2:30 am Saturday by deputy sheriff Loren Melton. Martinez was ticketed then for driving without a valid operator s license and was fined $47.25 by Warsaw JP Milo Clase Then op Sunday at 12:30 a.m., he was arrested again for the same offense by Warsaw city police Sgt. Aden Moore and was fined another $47 25 by jp Clase. Officers said Martinez has been ticketed on other occasions for not having an operator's license.
