1970-71 Full Os Ups And Downs For Bulldogs
By ALAN WELCH « Stadent Manager The basketball season for the 1970-71 edition of the Mentone Bulldogs was full of ups and downs. At times it looked as though they could beat all comers; at other times they looked bad. But at all times they never gave up.

whole story of the season. As a team, the Bulldogs average 23 errors a game. Mentone's balanced scoring was found hard to defense and no less than six players were leading scorers at one time or another during the season. In speaking of highlights, one

ceptional records and only six teams that had losing records. The schedule included four members of the tough Northern Lakes Conference. All through the year. Mentone opponents were wary of the time that they would have to play Mentone and were shrouded in mystery as to how the Bulldogs would play.
