k Young Team This year’s Wawasee varsity team is a young team with only three seniors — Dave Elliott, Russ Mikel and Mark Thomas Lettermen Tim Blue and John Hamilton are juniors this year as are other members of the team. Kim Cripe is the lone sophomore. Assisting Zurcher in the coaching duties is junior varisty coach Tom Spear who is in his first year at Wawasee. When asked about the Warriors Zurcher stated the defense had been down but they are working on it and on rebounding. Otherwise, he commented, everything is “OK”. The team is now in good physical shape after illness and injuries had sidelined several members of the team. Zurcher’s team has been averaging four guys in double figures and sometimes five. Truly, the W’awasee Warriors are a team to watch this year. L——" y*
