WARSAW COACHES — David R. (“Boag”) Johnson, shown above on the left, is coach of the defending sectional champs, the Warsaw Tigers. With coach Johnson is Warsaw’s assistant coach Hugh Ressler who is currently in his second year at the school. Johnson has been in Warsaw since the fall of 1961, coming from Columbia City where he had been athletic director for three years. During the years at Warsaw Johnson’s Tigers have held impressive records, winning the sectional tournament in 1965, ’66, ’67, ’69 and ’7O. Johnson has a personal record of playing professional ball with the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons for three years and for the Anderson Packers for two years.
