Y., where he had been a patient since sustaining a hip fracture in a fail at his home one week prior. Mr. Murray was born at Shipshewana on June 12.1889 and was united in marriage on November 21. 1911 to Lydia Ann Hooley She survives. They moved to Niagara county. Chaney Death claimed Mrs Verta I. Chaney, 61, formerly of r 1 Leesburg, at 10:30 p.m. Sunday. She died -m the Saint Joseph hospital in Mishawaka of complications. Hoy Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock today (Wednesday) at a funeral home in Syracuse for lifetime Syracuse resident, Mrs. Mary Hoy. 79. She passed away Monday afternoon in Elkhart hospital where she had been a patient sThce February 2. Mrs. Hoy had been in failing health for the past 18-months. She was born in Syracuse on March 31, 1891 to Francis and Martha (Moore) Ott and was united in marriage to Dr. Clifford R Hoy in 1915. Mrs. Hoy was a member of the Wednesday Afternoon club, Syracuse Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Past Ma'trons club and the Saint Andrew’s United Methodist church. She is survived by a brother, Gifford Ott of Syracuse and a number of nieces and nephews. Rev. August Lundquist officiated and burial was in Syracuse cemetery. O.E.S. services were held at the funeral home Tuesday evening. Samuel Moneyheffer Samuel L. Moneyheffer. 80. of Nappanee, died Sunday at 7:40 a m. in the Americana Nursing home in Elkhart. He had been a patient there four weeks. He had been in failing health for 10 months He was born May 26. 1890 and had lived in Kosciusko county all his life. In September of 1912, he married the former Barbara Davidhizar. She passed away June 17. 1968. The survivors include five sons, Henry, Charles and Harvey, all of Nappanee, Delbert of Milford, and John of Leesburg; three daughters. Mrs. Carl (Mary) Null and Mrs. Warrtn (Mabie) Horein, both of Wakarusa and Mrs. Lloyd (Barbara) Truex ot Goshen. 16 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral home in Nappanee was in charge of arrangements where the services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Harold W. Miller, former pastor of the Turtle Creek Church of the Brethren, of which Mr. Moneyheffer was a member, and Rev. Clarence Fike, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Union Center cemetery Rev. Carl C. Soresen Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 2 o’clock in Albion for Rev. Carl C. Soresen, 90, a retired minister formerly serving Lutheran churches at Syracuse and Albion A native of Denmark. Rev. Soresen passed away at 6:20 Monday morning at the hospital

Mrs. Elwood Roth of Brownsburg and one grandson. Mrs. Edward Unrue Mrs. Mary Ella Unrue, 92. formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Haven Hubbard Home at New Carlisle She was bom in Kosciusko county on June 3, 1878 to Henry and Mary (Maggert) Tully. On October 30.1898 she was married to Lyman Edward Unrue and he preceded her in death in 1951. Mrs. Unrue was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Women’s Relief Corps., Puthian Sisters and the Senior Citizens club at Syracuse. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. A Services will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Harris funeral home. Syracuse, with Rev. K. E. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Solomon’s Creek cemetery north of Syracuse. Friends may call at the funeral home after *3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) until service time on Thursday. Mrs. Donna Baker of North Webster is a patient in Whitley Couqty hospital, Mrs. Eugene Coverstone of North Webster has been released from Whitley County hospital. Ray E. Byrket of Syracuse was admitted to Goshen hospital last week. Mrs. Arlene Corson of r 2 Syracuse has been dismissed from Goshen hospital. Charles Angel of r 1 North Webster was admitted to Goshen hospital on Thursday and dismissed Saturday. Harold F. Gaskill, North Webster, is a patient at Goshen hospital. Mrs. Laurel Brock of r 3 Syracuse was admitted to Goshen hospital last week. Mrs. Leonard Cripe and Mrs. Pauline Price, both of Syracuse, were released last week from Goshen hospital. Percy Bartlett of south Huntington street, Syracuse, is expected to be released from the hospital this week where he is reported as doing fine following heart surgery performed on February 5. Chester Brown of r 1 Warsaw and a former Syracuse area resident, is in room 203 at Whitley County hospital, Columbia City, where he was admitted on Thursday for treatment of a back injury sustained in a fall at his home while repairing a roof. J. Olen Keim of Syracuse has been removed from the intensive care unit at Saint Joseph’s hospital, South Bend, and is in room 732 where he is recuperating from major surgery performed on February 9. Mrs. Nelson Morehouse underwent major surgery Monday afternoon at the Goshen hospital.

License Plate Taken From Car A license plate, number 43C2734, was taken from a car being driven by Randy Gingerich, a student at Wawasee high school Monday night. Gingerich reported to Syracuse police at 11:10 p.m. he had parked his car in the high school parking lot and continued on to work with someone else, leaving his car in the lot.
