Warriors Crush Jimmies 90-80
By JOHN BAHN The Wawasee Warriors met the Jimtown Jimmies at Jimtown last Friday evening and brought a 90-80 victory back to the lakeland- area The Warriors fgained their victory through overwhelming accuracy in shooting free throws and field goals For Wawasee. John Hamilton led in scoring with 12 field goals and four free throws for a total of 28 points Teammate Jeff Hughes was close behind**ith 12 field goals and two free throws for a f total of 26 points Dave Elliott added an additional 20 points for the Warrior cause as he hit for five field goals and 10 freq throws Jimtown played a good game, however. Wawasee tromped ahead, faltering slightly in the second quarter with the Jimmies scoring 22 points to 17 for Wawasee The Jimmies also "poured it on" in the last quarter scoring 22 points to Wawasee’s 23 Jimtown s Kim Berlick scored

FRESHMEN WARRIORS — Members of the freshman basketball team at Wawasee high school will participate in the first tourney held at the high school. The tournament will be held this Saturday with sessions beginning at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. * Wawasee’s freshman team went to Concord last Saturday and placed second in the four-way tourney held there. In the first game the young Warriors beat Jimtown 52-43. Bob Mosier totaled 30 points with'teammate Mark Rieff snatching 13 rebounds for the Lakeland team. In the championship game Concord topped the Warriors 45-44
