A three to four-inch blanket of snow fell on the Lakeland area last night and more is on its way. The primary and junior departments of Wawasee Heights Baptist church have formed a choir. The Indian name of Ta-ma-le has been selected for a newly formed Camp Fire group at Syracuse. The Wawasee high school Bteam. sporting an undefeated * report, will play in the championship game of the four-way championship B-team tournament tonight at Pierceton high school gym. Mrs. Daisy Newsom, 73, Lake Wawasee, died January 7 in Goshen hospital. Kenneth J. Breeden, r 3, escaped injury at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when his car went out of control on a curve on U. S. 6 three miles east of Bremen. Don H. Arnold, superintendent of the Lakeland Community School Corporation, has been elected as president of the Kosciusko Area Plan Commission. FIVE YEARS AGO James Stefanski has returned to Cleveland college following a two-week visit here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stefanski. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Klink left this week for Pompano Beach, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Arnold are recovering from injuries received in an auto accident last week in Alabama when enroute home from a Florida vacation. The narrow, old. Front street bridge in Syracuse is coming out and a new, wider, higher span bridge will be going in within the next six-weeks. Robert Ritter. 40, died Friday at this home. 1 Judith Ann Lantz and John Schacht exchanged' wedding vows Saturday at the Syracuse Methodist church. Mr. and Mrs. Don Niles and Kristie and Randy, have returned from a Florida vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Ketering of Syracuse and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Huff. Mishawaka, were guests of Mrs. Sylvia Miller at Kimmell. Mr. and Mrs. James Hammafi have returned from a trip to Macon. Ga.. and a visit with their daughter, Mrs. Ted Williamson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Graber have returned from a vacation trip to Fort Worth. Texas. Mrs. Willard Nusbaum has returned to Castle Air Force Base, Cslif., with her son-in-law and daughter and family for a two-week visit. TEN YEARS AGO Franz Duy of Yugoslavia and Sauveur Tambourin. France, now of Syracuse, were both granted their citizenship papers on Thursday in U. S. District Court at South Bend. Services were held Tuesday for Mrs. J. C. (Minnie) Bailey, 85. Mrs. Ed Stevenson has returned from Indianapolis visit in the Herbert Strong home. Max Kleinknight is the new DX station manager. Richard Miller has been elected president of the Syracuse library board.

'Life' Is Christian Science Lesson For Sunday What life really means in the light of the Christianity taught by Christ Jesiis will be considered Sunday at Christian Science church services. • The Lesson-Sermon of “Life”, contains these words of the Master -Christian: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” A supporting passage 0 from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy states: “Through the magnitude of his human life, he demonstrated the divine Life. Out of the amplitude of his pure affection, he defined Love. With the affluence of Truth, he. vanquished error. The world acknowledged not his righteousness, seeing it not; but earth received the harmony his glorified example introduced.” I Ideally, every married man should be taller, older, heavier, uglier and have a deeper voice than his wife.
