OPEN HOUSE AND LUNCHEON — The newly organized Syracuse P.T.O. will be in charge of a demonstration luncheon preceding Open House in the Syracuse elementary and junior high schools on Tuesday evening. Oct. 27. This will be in keeping with American Education Week. Cafeteria workers in the above photo were serving food to Mrs. Charles F. Open House will be held from 6:15 to 8:15 with no fo»mal program being planned. Parents and friends are invited to visit the teachers and classrooms in which they are interested.
American Education Week In Indiana October 25-31
INDIANAPOLIS — Thousands of Hoosier parents and other citizens interested in the schools are expected to make their own “assessment of Education" October 25-31 during the national observance of American Education Week Robert H Wyatt, executive secretary of the Indiana State Teachers Association, said. The Parent-Teachers Organization executive board of Milford met Friday evening, Oct. 16. to {dan the programs for the 1970-71 school year. Those present were William Bess, president; Robert Hoerr. vice president; Mrs. Robert Wise, treasurer; and Mrs. Donald Kinney, secretary. Also present were Gorman L. Miller, principal of Milford's junior high school and Lewis S. Immel. principal of the town’s elementary school. The programs planned for this year are: Open house American Education Weak night, October 28, 7- 9 p.m. both buildings. Regular meeting on January 12 — program to be announced. Spelling Bee on February 16. Chili supper at the elementary school on March 12. Regular meeting on April 20. OPEN HOUSE SET AT MILFORD NEXT WEDNESDAY Open house in observance of National Education week will be held in both the Milford Elementary and junior high schools next Wednesday. Oct. 28. according to an announcement made this week by principals Lewis S. Immel and Gorman L. Miller. The schools will be open from 7 to 9 p.m, to allow parents time to visit their children’s classrooms and visit with teachers.
