Floor Length Gown XJiven in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional white floor length gown. Her shoulder length veil was held by a headpiece of real white rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of white orchids and white rosebuds with ivy in a crescent shape with white ribbon streamers. Mrs. Donald McAllister, Jr., of Detroit, Mich., sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. She was attired in a yellow floor length dress styled without sleeves with a bustle effect. Her headpiece was of yellow and white carnations and her bouquet was of yellow and white carnations in a nosegay style. Kenneth Schmidt of Schaumburg. 111., was the best man and Donald McAllister, Jr., of Detroit, Mich., brother of the bride, was the usner The bride’s mother and stepmother wore beige sleeveless dresses and the bridegroom’s mother wore a pink knit suit with matching accessories. Each had a corsage of double w’hite orchids. A reception and wedding dinner, was held at 6:30 in Goshen. Miss Connie Geiger poured punch. A three tier wedding cake decorated with yellow roses and white wedding bells on top was also served. J K, * ■ - ’ A I ■ TO OBSERVE 50TH ANNIVERSARY — Rev. and Mrs. Virgil Mock will observe their golden wedding anniversary in the reception room of the New Paris Church of the Brethren on the corner of 4th and Division streets in New Paris, on Sunday, Sept. 20. from 2 to 5 p.m. Mr. Mock and the former Mary Bigler were married September 25,1920 at the home of the bride’s parents near North Webster, by Rev. Emeral Jones. Hosting the reception, will be their two living daughters, Mrs. Francis (Velma) Caprarotta of New Paris and Mrs. George (Doris) Steele of Goshen. The Mocks have lived in the North Webster-New Paris area most of this time. They now reside on their farm southeast of New Paris where they have lived for the last 42 years. They have 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Mock has been in the ministry for 57 years. He has been a public school teacher for 38 years and a Sunday School teacher for 53 years. No formal invitations have been sent, but all friends and relatives are invited. They request no gifts, please.

In order to participate in the lesson bring the following supplies: tablespoon, table knife, newspapers, cake pan or pie pan, No. 7 nail, tubes numbered 3, 30, 67,80,104. bag and coupling. Also make your icing acording to the following recipe: one lb. powdered sugar (sifted), one cup Crisco or Spry, three tablespoons milk. Mix the ingredients until smooth with an electric mixer on low speed. Bring the icing in, a tight container. September 30. county trip to the Bavarian Village, departure time. 6:30 a.m. Dutch Cake 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 4 cup flour, 1 cup butter and lard mixed. 1 cup milk, 1 egg. TOPPING: 2 T. melted butter. >-4 cup brown sugar, 1 T. cinnamon. Mix together the dry ingredients and sift. Mix with shortening, add milk and beaten egg, blend. Spread into 2 greased, floured pans, indent the surface at intervals with finger, drop melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon into the holes. Bake in 350 degree F. oven until browned.

Calvary United Methodist Church Is Scene Os Smith-Cripe Wedding
Miss Linda Claire Smith of 513 north Huntington street, Syracuse, and William David Cripe of r 1 Syracuse, were united in marriage in a lovely 2 o’clock wedding Sunday in Calvary United Methodist church south of Syracuse. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. John W. Cripe, all of Syracuse. The Rev. K. E. Robinson, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150 relatives and friends. Musical selections on the organ were by Mrs. Harry Appenzeller. Given in Marriage For her marriage, the bride. ' given in marriage by her father. ' chose a bridal gown of silk organza and Venice lace over 1 pink. Her gown was fashioned ’ with an empire bodice, high neckline and full Bishop sleeves. The full circle skirt was enhanced • with a detachable chapel train. Her fingertip ballerina veil was | of pink and white lace, and she carried a colonial bouquet of pink > rosebuds centered with a single white orchid.
Mrs. Edward Leamon, sister of the bride, Syracuse served as matron of honor in a gown of pink and white cotton lace, empire style, and underlined with deep p>nk. Her white bodice featured a high neckline and princess sleeves. The entire gown was accented with a deep pink sash and bow at center back. Her headband was of baby pink rosebuds and she carried a bouquet of baby pink rosebuds. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Pat Appenzeller of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Steve Wright. Warsaw. Their gowns, headpieces and flowers were identical to the matron of honor. Benjie Reed of Syracuse, nephew of the bride, and Ronnie Cripe. Syracuse, nephew of the bridegroom. served as ring bearers. Rod Smith. Syracuse, served as best man. Groomsmen were Barney Galloway and Mike Brown. John R. Cripe and Kim Cripe, both of Syracuse, were ushers. A reception immediately followed in the church parlor with Mrs. Don Rozelle, Mrs. Paul Boyer and Mrs. Raud Estep in charge. The new bride is a 1965 graduate of Syracuse high school, and a 1969 graduate of Fasination Beauty School.
