Calvary United Methodist Church Scene of Juday-Ringler Vows Saturday
The Calvary United Methodist church at Syracuse was the scene for the lovely 7:30 o’clock wed ding Saturday evening uniting in marriage Miss Karen Juday and • Garry L Ringler of Terre Haute Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Juday of r 3 Syracuse and Mr and Mrs Fred Personette of Archbold, Ohio * \ Rev K E Robinson, pastor ot the church, and the Rev Ray V Rhoda performed the double ring \ rainbow ceremony. Mrs. Joe Longenecker supplied 'ftHpU-al music on the organ Mr Longenecker was soloist Altar flowers, candelabra with greenery, window candles and six pew end candelabra with pastel color candles made the setting for the bndal couple Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown fashioned by her mother. The full length egg-shell antique moire gown and train were reminiscent of the. late 19th century Her gown was styled with long full sleeves gathered to wide cuffs secured with covered buttons. Covered buttons from neck jo hemline closed the gow n Chantilly lace trimmed the neckline, cuffs, front opening and train. A wide white peau deso’e sash with a larges bow and streamers enhanced; the back wajst Her full length veil of silk illusion was secured by a head piece of silk loops and dainty . flowers She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses, bachelor buttons, tiny daisies and baby’s breath Miss Martha Juday served her sister as maid of honor Her.pale

Champ Brings $2,139
Debbie Miller’s Herford steer brought a total of $2,139 when the grandchampion sold for a record $2.30 per pound Thursday night at the annual 4-H livestock auction. Her steer weighed 930 pounds and was purchased by the merchants from Lowery’s shopping center in Warsaw. Milford merchants joined together to purchase the reserve champion, a Shorthorn from Brenda Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Devon Davis of r 1 Milford They paid 80 cents per pound for the animal. A total of 345 hogs, sheep and steers sold for $64,772.07 Thursday night. One year ago auctioned animals brought $58,941.17. Breed Winners Breed winners in the beef show were as follows: Angus — Craig Tucker, Milford; reserve, Nedra Wise, r 2 Rochester. Charolais — Dean Rhoades, Pierceton; reserve, Karen Mort; Pierceton. Hereford — Miss Miller; reserve, Bruce Bryant. Shorthorn — Miss Davis; reserve, Glenn Davis, Milford. Crossbred — Pam Wolf. Atwood; reserve. John Powell, Atwood. In all 123 steers were sold. The lambs were the first on the block with 73 being sold. Hog prices were down this year with 149 of the animals being sold.

A graduate of Syracuse high school, the bride is a senior at Indiana State university, majoring in speech and hearing. She will be continuing her education in September. Also a graduate erf Syracuse high school, the bridegroom has enrolled at Indiana State university for the fall term. LAKELAND LOCALS Mrs. Paul Wustrack. Indianapolis, spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Orn, Milford, she is the former Alana Orn and is now teaching in Indianapolis, her husband Cap. Paul Wustrack is serving, with the infantry ip Korea with the judge advocates corp. Mrs. Marie Shell of Saint Joe, MicK, visited over the week end with her mother. Mrs. Anna Pinkerton, r 3 Syracuse. Mrs. Ruth Pinkerton, r 1 Milford, attended a picnic for the Win-a-couple class of the Christian church held at the Harold A. Geiger residence on Waubee Lake recently.

The animal weighed 930 pounds and brought $2,139. Debbie is,the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Miller. Her grand champion was a Hereford steer. She is a member of the Claypool Jolly Gentlemen 4-H club.

State senator John F. Augsburger was present, stating he had contacted the state highway office at Fort Wayne and the office at Indianapolis about the light. He is making an effort to get the highway regional manager from Fort Wayne to a meeting at the Milford Tire station Monday night. If it can be arranged he will also be at the Lions club dinner at 7 p.m. Monday night, then go to the fire station where anyone in the community interested in the reinstatement of the road 15 stop light may attend. Paul (“Bud”) Brembeck president at the Monday night meeting of MAD in the absence of president C. J. Myers. Secretary Richard Fehnel read the minutes of the previous meeting and stated the group has $1,290.43 in itsbank account.

Street Roller Damages Car A street rolling machine being operated by Raymond C. McKinley, 72, 119 W. Brooklyn, Syracuse, rolled into a car near the W. R. Thomas store ‘on Huntington street around 2:50 Tuesday afternoon Resulting in damage to the rear bumper and left tail light. The car belonged to Kenneth Jordan of Richmond. McKinley reported to investigating officer chief of police Orville Vaijderßeyden that the motor on his machine stopped and he could not control the steering mechanism causing it to roll into the auto. Damage was estimated at $125.
