couple greeted approximately 150 guests. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white silk organza over peau de soie with a high Victorian neckline, empire waist and Bishop sleeves. The floor length gown featured a bodice of Venice medallion lace and a Watteau train A Juliet cap of Venice lace with satin streamers held her elbow lenth veil. She carried a
bouquet of butterfly orchids, stephanotis and ivy atop the wedding Bible belonging to her mother. Mrs. Mark Lamb of Kokomo, was matron of honor. She was attired in a floor length gown of yellow Georgette crepe made by the bride. The gown featured a high Victorian neckline and empire waist trimmed with Venice lace and tiny puff sleeves. She carried a colonial bouquet of daisies and babies breath and wore a hairpiece of daisies and satin streamers. Keith Millikan of Anderson served as best man; Mark Ramser and Fred Ramser, brothers of the bride, were ushers. The bride is a graduate of Milford high school. She was graduated from Ball State university with a degree in elementary education. Mrs. Brubaker is a teacher in the Anderson public schools and working part time on a master's degree in music education at Ball State. The bridegroom graduated from Muncie Central high school. He received his bachelor of science and master’s degree in education from Ball State university. Mr. Brubaker will begin work on a doctorate degree in educational administration at Ball State university this fall. After a wedding trip to Mackinac Island. Mich., the newlyweds will reside at 2013 W. Main street. Muncie. One Injured In Saturday Crash Mrs. Hulda Graff of r 1 Milford sustained injuries to her left leg in a Saturday morning accident at 11 o’clock street in Syracuse. The mishap took place near Huntington and Pittsburgh streets when Oscar Graff of r 1 Milford, driver of a 1966 Chevrolet did not stop in time to avoid hitting the back of a car driven by Harley Mock of Kississimme, Fla., who was stopped for traffic ahead. The Mock auto, a 1968 Ford, was damaged $250 as was the amount of damage to the Graff vehicle. Syracuse police investigated. New Salem By MRS. HERB MOREHOUSE Rev. Howard Kreider was guest Speaker during the morning worship service, speaking from Revelation 11 and 12. Rev. Kreider led the evening adult Bible class. The Duane Sells family from Silver Lake gave a special musical program also. After church services, a large group gathered in the fellowship hall to listen to a tape sent from Miss Catherine Froh, a missionary from Haiti. Smith-Walbridge Concert Set For Friday
The Smith-Walbridge camp will present its four bands in concert on Friday, Aug. 14, in Henzie Center at 6:30 p.m. Ray Laffin, director of the Creston junior high school in Indianapolis, will conduct a junior high school band playing: “Ocala March” by John Kimyon, “Shenandoah” by James Ployhor, “Guns of Will Sonnet” by Carroll De Camp, and “Tropical Twilight” by Eric Osterling. Richard Norris, director of the DeKalb senior high school band, will conduct a different junior high school band playing: “Portrait of a Trumpet” by Sammy Nestico and “Mustang” by Eric Osterling and other selections. Dr. Charles Henzie, from Butler University of Indianapolis, will conduct the Walbridge band, consisting of senior high school students playing: "Jubilant Overture” by Alfred Reed, “Scenes from Bohemia” by Vaslav Neblybel and selections from the Broadway musical “Sweet Charity”. bands at Jacksonville Univeristy in Florida will conduct the Smith Band. Musical selections „ presented by this band will be: “Variants on a Medieval Tune” by Norhal Dell Joio, “The Good Friday Spell” by Richard Wagner and “The Sound of Music” by Richard Rodgers. There have been 250 students from various high schools rehearsing since Sunday, Aug. 9. These students are being taught by 25 staff members.
