The charges of theft and sentencing stemmed from an incident at Brazel’s Bait Shop at Lake Wawasee on April 13 when he stole money from the cash drawer at the store. The theft amounted to about S6O. Douglas was also assessed $36 in court costs. ’Clean-UpWeek' Set At Milford Post Office , Postmaster Paul Kizer today announced “Clean-up Week” for the Milford post office as part of a nation-wide postal activity announced in Washington by postmaster general Winton M. Blount. The postmaster general announced the program Sunday “to establish post offices as a symbol of good housekeeping and as a credit to every community in the nation.” “We are all concerned nowadays about the quality of the environment,” he said, “and the post office—as a representative of the federal government—is always pleased to conduct ac’tivities that are in the best interests of the communities we serve. “Our post office is one of the busiest and most visible activities in Milford and whatever we can do to improve it is of special value to our community. The postmaster pointed out that, in addition to improved appearance for postal facilities, the National Clean-Up Week is designed to provide practical values, removal of safety and health hazards designed to reduce accident and illness, and repairs wherever leasable. ,-Mr. Kaiser noted that more than 40.000 post offices, stations and branches over the nation are joining in this “Clean-up Week” proclaimed by the postmaster general. This includes the Post Office Department Headquarters in Washington, as well as the IS regional offices across the country.
