She was not so fortunate Friday morning when she presumably and unknowingly put some scratches on a new car parked in the first “legal” parking place east of the stoplight, which necessitated a call to the police department. Will she be parking in her usual spot this week, is the question at the moment?!
The beautiful new two-story home being constructed for the Doyle Butler family on the channel at Hawaiian Village is progressing rapidly with tentative plans to move into the home in September. Jack and Dixie Simmons are continuing work on their twostory home next door, with the Merrill Norrises in the moving process to their new home just one-door south of the Simmons. The Arnold Dolls, Pete and Becky and three sons of Milford, Mrs. Jack Carr and two daughters of Bonar Lake and Mrs. Theries Doll. Lake Wawasee, have returned from a week-long vacation-camping trip at Kentucky Lake and vicinity. Becky once remarked she didn't make the newspaper columns, herewith, w e are glad to oblige. Herman Johnson, longtime employee at the Syracuse'lron & Co., has dropped out of sight, and his old friends wonder what happened to him. An employee with Sam Swedar sky’s recla ma tion company for the past 36 years. Herman suffered a heart attack about two months ago and is resting quietly at his home. In his place is a new face, a lode-alike: Herman’s son Don. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Vanderveer are touring Europe. When they return, Dick will take a new job. He has been w ith Sturm & Dillard Gravel Co. for the past 14 years. The hail fellow well met you see driving the Sunoco Oil Co. bulk truck around town is Keith Smallwood, new Sunoco agent for this territory. Keith is moving his family here from Mooresville. Sp 5 Andrew Gilbert Stationed In Viet Nam Sp-5 Andrew Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gilbert of Syracuse, is stationed in Viet Nam aboard the USNS Corpus Christi Bay as a helicopter repairman.
