MISS SYRACUSE II — Chris Caywood. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Caywood. Jr., r 3. is Miss Syracuse 11. She is 17 and will be a senior at Wawa<»ee high school. This contestant is five feet, two inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Iler hobbies are sewing, play ing the organ and singing in the church choir. MISS SILVER LAKE — The girl chosen to represent Silver Lake in this year's fair queen contest is N'icki Jones, a 14-year-old senior at Warsaw high school. N’icki is five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her hobbies are swimming, sowing, horseback riding and camping. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones. MISS CLAYPOOL — Representing Claypool in the fair queen contest is Barbara Johnson, daughter of Mrs. Mary K. Johnson of r 2. Barbara is 17 and will be a senior at Warsaw high school in the fall. She is five feet, six inches tall and weighs 11» pounds. Barbara has red hair and green eyes. Her hobbies are cheerleading, swimming, sewing and dancing.

$7,000 Improvements At Race Track Fair officials report $7,000 in improvements have been completed at the track area since the last race of 1960 The track has been enlarged and a cement wall built around the west end. Monday evening a pony pull will be held at 7:30 pm. in the gran;istand area while the auto thrill circus is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday

Stock car racing will be held on Wednesday with time trials set to begin at 6:30. Thursday is left open to allow people to attend the annual 4-H auction. Friday will see the ponys back on the track while Saturday is race night again with the new fair queen being crowned at the conclusion of the races. One of the most successful and beneficial 4-H activities is junior leadership development. This prqgram is for the older teen member and now some 150,000 teen volunteers serve in a 4-H leadership capacity.
