They will meet from 6:30 to 8 p m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Ligonier gymnasium. Those interested should report June 9.

Athletic Banquet Set For Monday The West Noble high school athletic banquet will be held Monday evening in the Ligonier gym. All parents, students and friends are invited. The supper will be a car-ry-in banquet, sponsored by the staff of the West Noble athletic department and cheerleaders. Featured speaker will be Claude Wolfe, head basketball coach at Manchester college. Dean Crockett Guest Os Honor Dean Crockett, was guest of honor at a retirement dinner in South Bend recently. He retired after 46 years with the Railroad Express Company. He was presented a gift from the R and A Union at South Bend.

West Noble high school commencement will be held Thursday evening. May 28. at 8 p.m. in the Westview gymnasium north of Topeka. LETTERMAN’S CLUB PARTICIPATING IN M. S. CAMPAIGN West Noble Letterman’s club, composed of young athletes who have received one or more letters in sports at West Noble high school, are participating in the annual campaign to fight multiple sclerosis. The young athletes have placed cannisters in business houses and also participated in a house to house canvas to help the Indiana Chapter of the National Society. DINNER GUEST Roscoe L. Junior High Athletic Banquet Held Recently The West Noble junior high held its first athletic banquet with 130 guests, parents, and athletes in attendance. The following awards were given: Football — Mike Jones, most valuable defensive; Rick Addis, most valuable offensive. Cross Country — Lyle Phares, most improved runner and most valuable runner. Basketball (7th grade) — Mike Cunningham, best field goal percentage: Tom Moore, best rebounder; (Bth grade) Lewis Gilbert, best rebounder; Dan Rarick, best free throw percentage. Track — Brian Wheeler, most valuable (in track’; Richard Vincent. most valuable in field and Chuck Shull, most valuable all round. Della Ann Robinson Sen-ices were held Saturday, May 23. in the Ligonier funeral home for Mrs. Della Ann (Davidson) Robinson, 60, former resident of Ligonier *and Ogden Island. Mrs. ‘Robinson died in a New York city hospital on Wednesday after a slx months’ illness of cancer. Her husband, Walter Robinson, Jr., died June 22, 1959. Survivors include fixe sisters in the New York area. Before moving to New York nine years ago, Mrs. Robinson, a registered nurse, worked in hospitals in this area. She was a member of the Ligonier Presbyterian church, Ligonier Eastern Star lodge. Kappa Sigma Tau Sorority, and other organizations of the city. Business And Professional Women Elect Mrs. Martha Lung was elected president of the Ligonier Business and Professional Women at their Thursday night meeting at the Crossroads restaurant. Serving with her will be: Dena Chatfield . vice president Gladys Gillespi - second vice president Grace Bickel - recording secretary Berniece Deal - corresponding secretary Audra Stiffner - treasurer Marie Miller - parlimentarian. After the dinner-meeting members went to the radio station in Kendallville and were given a tour of the station by Paul King. Mrs. Roy Chatfield and Mrs. Robert Miller, of the local club, left Friday morning to join the more than 9,000 members of the Indiana Federation of Business and Professional Women's clubs, having their convention at the French Lick Sheraton hotel May 22, 23, and 24.

GRADUATING — Rolland E. Robison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Robison of Leesburg is one of more than 700 -cadets in this year’s U.S. air force academy graduating class. He will receive his bachelor of science degree and commission as an air force officer June 3. This is the 12th graduating class in the 15-year history of the air academy. More than "0 percent of the graduating seniors are going on to pilot or navigator training and 15 per cent will pursue graduate studies at universities throughout the country. The others will be assigned to operational air force units. Cadet Robison majored in engineering management and received special recognition at the academy by his appointment as an element leader with the cadet rank of first lieutenant. The cadet has been selected for pilot training at Reese AFB. Texas. Cadet Robison is a 1966 graduate of Leesburg high school. James Myers Promoted To Colonel James M. Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Myers of Syracuse and Sarasota, Fla., was recently promoted to the rank of colonel in ceremonies at headquarters, fifth US army, Fort Sheridan, 111. Colonel Myers’ mother flew to Fort Sheridan from Sarasota as guest of honor at a party celebrating her son’s promotion. Colonel Myers is a recent Viet Nam returnee where he commanded the first military intelligence battalion (ARS). During his tour in Viet Nam he was awarded the Legion of Merit, the air medal with three oakleaf clusters and the joint service commendation medal by the US government. In addition, he received two awards from the Vietnamese government including the armed forces honor medal first 'class Colonel Myers’ wife, Nancy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Golden of Syracuse.

Minor Accident In Milford On Sunday Afternoon Cars driven by Mary- L. Morris. 29, r 1 Milford and Joan Felkner, 19, Milford, were involved in a minor accident at the intersection of Main and Fourth streets at 1:40 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Morris stopped her 1966 Chevrolet for the stop sign at the intersection then proceedeeHnto the intersection striking the 1966 Chevrolet convertible driven by. Miss Felkner. Mrs. Morris told' Milford police chief Don Drake she looked before starting out and did not see the Felkner vehicle. The right front fender, head light, hood, grill and left front of the Morris car were damaged $450 according to estimates. The left front fender, grill, bumper and headlight of the Felkner auto was damaged an estimated $325. Christian Church To Honor Graduates Members of the Milford Christian church will pay special tribute to the church’s graduating seniors during services on Sunday. May 31.
